- Drying: Dry thoroughly in well-ventilated ambient air at temperatures strictly below 65°C. Keep gloves away from direct industrial heat sources, radiators, steam pipes, or open flames.
- Interior Care: Ensure the non-flocked interior is completely dry before repacking or deployment to prevent internal moisture accumulation during use.
Storage Conditions and Environmental Controls
Proper storage is critical to avoid material stiffness, premature aging, and ozone-induced surface cracking on high-voltage protective equipment. Maintain controlled facility storage according to standard safety recommendations:
- Temperature Range: Store gloves in a clean, climate-controlled environment maintained between 10°C and 21°C.
- Packaging and Placement: Always store gloves flat in their original opaque protective packaging. Never fold, roll, bend, or compress the gloves under heavy tools, PPE boxes, or equipment.
- Radiation and Ozone Protection: Shield stored gloves from direct sunlight, excessive ultraviolet (UV) light, and ozone generated by high-voltage switchgear, electric motors, or arc-producing industrial apparatus.
Handling, Mechanical Defense, and Wear Management
To prevent mechanical punctures from sharp wire strands, busbar edges, and panel hardware, pair Jayco Class 2 gloves with suitable leather outer protector gloves. Pair with cotton inner under-gloves to absorb perspiration, enhance operator comfort, and maintain finger dexterity across standard sizes (7", 8", 9", 10", and 11") and gauntlet lengths (360 mm, 410 mm, and 460 mm).
