FAQ

How does the Biomax Access10 manage user enrollment and operation without network software?

Answer:
The Biomax Access10 is an offline access controller that does not maintain an internal audit log or require software connectivity. All user enrollments, deletions, 5-digit ID assignments, and relay timings are configured directly on the device using the keypad and administrator code.

Classified under 'Access Control Without Memory', the Biomax Access10 is engineered for security applications where physical entry restriction is required without the complexity, ongoing data management, or network cabling of an audit-trail attendance system. Unlike networked terminals that store transactional punch logs, this unit performs instant, local credential matching to energize or de-energize the door relay.

Standalone On-Device Administration:

  • Menu Access: Entered by long-pressing the front panel Bell icon for 3 seconds and submitting a 6-digit administrator master code (factory default: 888888).
  • User ID Mapping: Supports 5-digit numeric user IDs for discrete tracking during local enrollment and single-user deletion routines.
  • Biometric Enrollment: Prompts the user to present a finger 2 consecutive times across the optical prism for clean template capture.
  • Zero Network Dependency: Functions completely offline without Ethernet, Wi-Fi, RS-485, or server software, eliminating vulnerability to network downtime or database sync failures in remote utility rooms, server racks, or isolated industrial enclosures.
