High-Throughput Corporate Foyers and Commercial Office Towers
In high-density commercial office environments, managing peak morning and evening pedestrian ingress is critical to preventing reception vestibule congestion. The ZKTeco FBL700 single-lane flap barrier turnstile provides a rated throughput capacity of up to 30 people per minute, supported by a rapid 0.8-second gate opening time. Its drive mechanism maintains an operational noise level of ≤30 dB during opening cycles, making it suitable for professional corporate reception lobbies, multi-tenant commercial centers, and financial institutions where acoustic disturbance must be kept to a minimum.
The cabinet casework is fabricated from SUS304 stainless steel paired with an SPCC lid finished in black baking paint, presenting a smooth exterior surface with no exposed screws. Pre-tested factory integration with customer-specified RFID card readers or biometric fingerprint access control devices allows immediate plug-and-play commissioning on-site. Visual passage authorization is communicated clearly through integrated LED indicators that display lane status to approaching visitors and employees, while the acrylic barriers remain normally locked to restrict passage to the secured zone until verified.
Industrial Campus Checkpoints and Facility Gatehouses
Manufacturing complexes, distribution logistics centers, and technology parks require access control hardware capable of reliable operation across high-volume shift changes. The FBL700 is engineered for high-traffic pedestrian throughput across indoor and sheltered outdoor environments, with an operational temperature tolerance spanning -28°C to 60°C and a working humidity rating of 5% to 80% (non-corrosive environments). Its mechanical drive assembly is rated for a mean cycles between failures (MCBF) of 5 million cycles, ensuring high longevity under heavy cyclic loads.
Infrastructure cabling is routed cleanly through a φ25mm PVC conduit positioned directly into the internal wire slot beneath the cabinet base, keeping high-voltage power lines (AC 100–120V / 200–240V, 50/60Hz) and system Ethernet communication connections fully isolated and protected from foot traffic or tampering. Facility managers can configure operating parameters directly using the built-in LCD screen mounted on the flap barrier control board.
Emergency Egress Corridors and Life-Safety Transit Nodes
Regulated facilities requiring medium-security pedestrian control must also ensure unhindered emergency egress. The FBL700 utilizes upward-retracting acrylic flap barriers spanning a standard 600 mm passage lane width. Upon receipt of an emergency alarm signal, the system triggers emergency mode, causing the acrylic barriers to automatically retract upward into the SUS304 stainless steel casework to create an unobstructed pathway for rapid evacuation.
To preserve life-safety egress continuity during mains electrical outages, the barriers are engineered to retract upward automatically when an optional backup battery (they are not included) is installed in the turnstile cabinet. This fail-safe barrier release provides emergency passage compliance without requiring manual key override during facility blackouts.
Engineering and Site Deployment Requirements
- Architectural Footprint: Each turnstile cabinet measures 1200 mm in length, 300 mm in width, and 980 mm in height, requiring a 100 mm service clearance between the chassis and adjacent walls to allow maintenance access via the keyed top lid.
- Mounting Substrate: The device must be bolted to a solid horizontal platform elevated 50 mm to 100 mm above the finished floor, fastened securely using 8 sets of M12 expansion bolts, washers, and nuts.
- Pedestrian Traffic Control: Marking a floor warning line ahead of the turnstile chassis is recommended to instruct oncoming pedestrians to wait until the prior user clears the 600 mm lane.
