The ZKTeco FBL700 single-lane flap barrier turnstile is an automated physical entrance control solution designed for streamlined electrical, mechanical, and access control interoperability in high-traffic commercial and industrial access points. Factory-aligned to minimize deployment time, the unit supports seamless field connection to biometric authentication systems, electrical power feeds, and life-safety evacuation triggers.
Access Reader & Identification System Compatibility
The FBL700 architecture supports direct hardware integration with diverse access credential peripherals. The system ships factory-configured to integrate directly with either RFID card readers or biometric fingerprint access control readers based on project specifications. Because the turnstile and associated reader assemblies undergo end-to-end factory testing prior to shipment, physical mounting cutouts and internal signal terminations enable true plug-and-play field deployment. The upward-retracting acrylic barriers operate in a normally locked state, releasing smoothly within 0.8 seconds only after receiving an authentic credential signal from the integrated reader hardware.
Control Board & Status Indicator Integration
Internal hardware logic is coordinated by an integrated flap barrier control board equipped with an on-board LCD. This visual interface allows site engineers to configure operational states, adjust motor driving parameters, and verify input signals directly at the turnstile without requiring external handheld programming modules. For directional throughput management and pedestrian flow compliance, the cabinet incorporates factory-wired LED status indicators that provide real-time visual feedback for allowed passage, lane direction, and access denial.
Emergency System & Auxiliary Power Interfacing
For life-safety integration, the FBL700 provides native support for dedicated emergency mode triggers. When receiving an emergency release signal from facility management or central safety infrastructure, the acrylic barriers automatically retract upward inside the SUS304 stainless steel cabinet, establishing an unencumbered 600 mm passage lane for rapid egress. In the event of primary utility failure across the AC 100–120V / 200–240V (50/60Hz) power input line, the system supports automatic barrier retraction when an auxiliary backup battery (they are not included) is connected to the control board.
Cabling, Conduit & Civil Infrastructure Requirements
Physical and electrical installation requires careful coordination with site civil engineering and structured cabling networks to ensure reliable performance:
- Civil Base Mounting: The turnstile must be anchored to a horizontal solid foundation or raised concrete platform with a finished height between 50 mm and 100 mm, securing the 1200 mm (L) × 300 mm (W) × 980 mm (H) cabinet against dynamic lateral pedestrian forces.
- Anchoring Hardware: Mechanical fastening requires 8 sets of M12 expansion bolts, nuts, and washers tightened firmly with a wrench through internal base mounting points accessed by unlocking the front and top covers using the supplied keys.
- Wall Clearance: A minimum maintenance clearance of 100 mm must be maintained between the turnstile cabinet and adjacent walls to permit the SPCC black-painted top lid to pivot open fully for routine servicing.
- Conduit & Wire Slot Routing: Power feed lines and Ethernet network communication cables must be pre-drawn through embedded φ25mm PVC conduit pipes and routed cleanly through the internal wire slot before anchoring bolts are torqued down.
- Electrical Grounding: The chassis requires a dedicated, reliable ground wire connection to the site's protective earth busbar to prevent electrical hazards and operational faults.
- Environmental Boundaries: Engineered for indoor and sheltered outdoor placements within an ambient operating temperature envelope of -28°C to 60°C and a non-condensing relative humidity of 5% to 80%. The unit must not be exposed to corrosive chemical environments.
