Multi-Lane Configuration & Cabinet Placement
The ZKTeco FBL320 dual-lane flap barrier turnstile is an intermediate expansion unit engineered specifically to pair with the FBL300 series turnstiles to create multi-lane pedestrian control arrays. Each FBL320 cabinet serves two adjacent passageways, reducing total footprint and equipment costs across high-traffic access points.
When planning the physical layout, ensure the installation footprint accommodates the cabinet dimensions of 1400 mm in length, 300 mm in width, and 980 mm in height. The intermediate placement creates a standard lane width of 570 mm per passage. The unit has a net weight of 55 kg, requiring a level, solid concrete foundation for anchoring to ensure rigidity during continuous 35 people-per-minute throughput cycles.
Environmental & Physical Site Requirements
The FBL320 chassis is manufactured with SUS304 stainless steel casework featuring a smooth finish and no exposed screws, topped with a steel lid and acrylic retracting barrier wings. Deploy the unit in suitable environments according to the following site parameters:
- Operating Environment: Indoor or sheltered outdoor environments.
- Operating Temperature: -20°C to 70°C.
- Operating Humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
- Cabinet Clearance: Ensure adequate overhead clearance for maintenance access via the top steel lid and unobstructed movement for the retracting acrylic flaps.
Electrical Wiring & Power Setup
Primary power must be routed through dedicated conduit via the bottom entry points of the SUS304 pedestal before securing the cabinet to the floor. The internal power supply accepts standard utility voltages:
| Parameter |
Specification |
| Voltage Rating |
AC 100V ~ 120V / 200V ~ 240V |
| Frequency |
50/60 Hz |
| Fail-Safe Operation |
Automatic wing retraction during power outage when an optional battery (they are not included) is connected |
Control Board LCD Setup & Access Integration
Commissioning is streamlined via the built-in LCD screen located directly on the flap barrier control board. System integrators can adjust lane operating parameters, opening and closing timings, and operational modes without requiring external programming consoles.
The FBL320 ships pre-integrated from the factory with customer-specified RFID card or biometric fingerprint readers. Connect the pre-wired reader harnesses to the central access control panel or network interface. Integrated LED direction indicators provide visual passage status to users, confirming credential validation and lane availability.
Sensor Calibration & Safety Verification
The system features 5 pairs of infrared sensors aligned along the pedestrian corridor. During initial power-up, verify optical alignment across all 5 sensor pairs to prevent tailgating, ensure accurate pedestrian counting, and guarantee anti-pinch protection. Verify emergency mode trigger inputs to confirm that both acrylic wings immediately retract into the SUS304 casework upon receiving an emergency or fire alarm signal.
