System Interoperability and Hardware Compatibility for ZKTeco FBL320

Multi-Lane Configuration and FBL300 Series Pairing

The ZKTeco FBL320 dual-lane flap barrier turnstile is specifically engineered to function as an intermediate expansion unit within multi-lane pedestrian entrance control systems. System architects and security integrators must deploy the FBL320 in conjunction with the primary ZKTeco FBL300 series turnstiles. In this standard multi-lane layout, the FBL300 serves as the outer boundary pedestals, while one or more FBL320 intermediate cabinets are positioned in between to create contiguous 570 mm access lanes without requiring separate single-lane cabinets for each passage.

Access Control Reader and Credential Integration

Designed for rapid site commissioning, the FBL320 series features flexible reader housing options that support seamless integration with standard commercial access control systems. The turnstile can be ordered pre-integrated to match project requirements for either RFID proximity/smart card readers or biometric fingerprint access control devices. This factory-level integration ensures straightforward interfacing with central access controllers, access management software platforms, and visitor processing infrastructure.

Electrical, Power Fail, and Emergency System Interfacing

The internal control system of the FBL320 is engineered for universal line-voltage compatibility and supports dedicated emergency trigger inputs to ensure building safety compliance:

  • AC Power Input Compatibility: Operates on standard AC 100V to 120V or AC 200V to 240V single-phase electrical lines at 50/60 Hz frequency.
  • Emergency Mode Trigger: Native emergency mode input interfaces directly with centralized fire alarm control panels (FACP) or remote emergency push-buttons to clear the passage immediately during an incident.
  • Power Outage Fail-Safe Operation: Retracting acrylic barriers automatically withdraw into the SUS304 stainless steel housing during mains power interruptions whenever a backup battery (they are not included) is connected to the onboard power management circuit.

Control Board and Sensor Interoperability

The integrated flap barrier control board features an onboard LCD interface that enables field technicians to configure motor parameters, passage direction logic, and operational timing without specialized external programming tools. For accurate pedestrian tracking and anti-tailgating control, the unit interfaces with 5 pairs of integrated infrared safety sensors mounted along the 1400 mm cabinet length, supporting bidirectional pedestrian throughput of up to 35 people per minute.
