Which field device protocols, repeaters, and expansion cards are compatible with the DXc1?

Answer:
The DXc1 features multi-protocol compatibility supporting Apollo (Xplorer, XP95, Discovery; up to 126 devices), Hochiki ESP, or System Sensor (up to 198 devices: 99 sensors plus 99 modules/MCPs), selectable one protocol per panel, alongside System Sensor Agile wireless devices on firmware 1.30+. It supports RS485 Morley repeaters (709-601-001/709-701-001), 795-099 network cards for up to 16-loop peer-to-peer networks, and 795-102 40-zone LED cards.

The Honeywell Morley-IAS DXc1 control panel provides multi-protocol loop architecture. Protocol selection is software-configurable, permitting the installation engineer to run any one of the following leading protocol families on the loop driver (note: only one protocol can be active per panel):

  • System Sensor Protocol: Supports up to 198 total addressable points per loop, structured as up to 99 intelligent sensors (optical smoke, thermal, multi-criteria) plus up to 99 addressable manual call points (MCPs), input/output modules, and AV sounder/beacons. Also supports System Sensor Agile wireless gateways and wireless devices on panels running DXc firmware version 1.30 or higher.
  • Apollo Protocol: Supports up to 126 addressable devices across Apollo Xplorer, XP95, and Discovery analogue addressable device ranges.
  • Hochiki Protocol: Supports Hochiki Enhanced Systems Protocol (ESP) field sensors, call points, and modules.

The DXc1 panel also interfaces with an extensive ecosystem of network, interface, and mechanical hardware add-ons:

  • Repeater Panels: Native onboard RS485 communication port interfaces directly with Morley Active Repeaters (part 709-601-001) and Morley Passive Repeaters (part 709-701-001).
  • Peer-to-Peer Networking: Accommodates optional plug-in network card (part 795-099) to build a fault-tolerant, BS5839 Part 1 compliant network of up to 16 loops (e.g., 16 x 1-loop DXc1 panels, 8 x 2-loop DXc2 panels, or mixed DXc topologies).
  • Expansion & Mimics: Compatible with 40-zone LED indicator cards (part 795-102), programmable key-switch modules (part 795-118), RS232 third-party integration cards (part 795-122), DXc Compact Mimic units (part 020-909), semi-flush bezel kits (part 795-112), and 19-inch rack-mount kits (part 795-119).
  • Programming: Includes an onboard PC programming port supporting USB configuration upload and download via the supplied Windows PC configuration tool.
