Site Readiness and Operating Environment
Prior to positioning the ZKTeco ZKX5030A Single-energy Compact X-ray Inspection System, ensure that the deployment area meets standard industrial operating parameters. The operating environment must maintain an ambient temperature range between -10°C and +45°C, with non-condensing relative humidity levels from 5% to 95%. The system draws under 300 W of operating power and requires a dedicated AC power line configured for either 220 VAC ±10% or 110 VAC ±10% at 50/60 Hz. Acoustic noise remains under 58 dB(A) during active continuous operation.
Ensure adequate floor clearance for the unit's dimensions. The core chassis measures 1701 mm (L) x 796 mm (W) x 1150 mm (H). When integrated with the entry and exit folding roller shelves, the full working length extends to 2391 mm. The conveyor belt operates at a fixed height of 650 mm from the floor level and accommodates distributed parcel loads up to 120 kg across its 500 mm (W) x 300 mm (H) inspection tunnel.
Uncrating and Physical Positioning
The unit ships with a packaged gross weight of 410 kg in a 2000 mm x 1000 mm x 1500 mm transport crate (net machine weight: 340 kg). Uncrating and positioning must follow these mechanical steps:
- Side Panel Access: Unlock and remove the side access panels using the provided triangle key to reach the inner base frame and transport fasteners.
- Shipping Bolt Removal: Using a wrench, unscrew and remove the four internal hexagon bolts securing the chassis to the wooden shipping support pallet.
- Mobility and Leveling: Turn the four adjustable foot cups under the device counterclockwise using a wrench to lower the built-in heavy-duty transport wheels to the ground. Roll the system to its permanent screening location.
- Chassis Stabilization: Turn the foot cups clockwise to raise the wheels off the floor until the chassis is completely level and firmly seated on its feet, then tighten the securing locknuts.
Roller Shelf Mechanical Assembly
The entry and exit receiving trays and H-frame brackets attach directly to the main chassis using standard metric hardware:
| Assembly Stage | Fastener Specification | Target Connection |
|---|---|---|
| H-Frame Beam Assembly | 8 × M6x16 Internal Hexagon Screws + Elastic Gaskets | Connects the dual H-frame supports with the cross beam |
| Receiving Tray Mounting | 16 × M6x16 Internal Hexagon Screws | Secures the roller receiving tray onto the H-frame structure |
| Chassis Bracket Attachment | M6x8 Countersunk Head Screws | Anchors support brackets flush against the scanner core frame |
Console, Display, and Peripheral Setup
The ZKX5030A integrates an industrial Windows 10 workstation powered by an Intel N100 processor, 8 GB RAM, a 128 GB SSD, and a 2 TB HDD capable of storing up to 200,000 inspection images. Peripheral connections include:
- Monitor Mount: Mount the 21.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080 resolution) colour LED display onto the top bracket assembly and connect the VGA signal cable and dedicated DC power lead from the top access plate.
- Input Devices: Insert the wireless USB receiver into an available workstation USB port, and insert batteries (they are not included) into the wireless keyboard and optical mouse.
- Network Communication: For centralized facility integration, connect an RJ45 Ethernet patch cable to the onboard network port for TCP/IP communication with the ZKBio SIS management platform.
Commissioning, Authentication, and Shutdown
To initialize the system, connect the main power cord to the AC mains source, turn the key switch on the operator control panel clockwise to the 'ON' position, and press the system start button. The Windows operating system and X-ray imaging software will execute automatic self-diagnosis routines.
Log in using the default factory administrator credentials: Username: 9999 and Password: 123456. Once logged in, calibrate the optical beam sensors, verify the 0.20 m/s conveyor belt forward and reverse travel, and confirm detector line operation.
To execute a controlled shutdown, turn the key switch counterclockwise to the 'OFF' position. The operating system will display a prompt indicating that Windows will automatically shut down within one minute. Wait for the green status indicator lamp to completely extinguish before isolating external mains electrical power.
