Industrial and Commercial Application Scenarios for ZKTeco SA32-E

The ZKTeco SA32-E standalone access control terminal provides decentralized single-door security without requiring network infrastructure, central servers, or software licensing. Designed for 12V DC electrical systems, the unit supports 1,000 user credentials and offers three distinct verification modes: Card only, PIN only, and combined Card & PIN. This versatility allows security managers and facility engineers to implement cost-effective access management across commercial, industrial, and institutional environments.

Commercial Office and Administrative Suite Entry

In multi-tenant office complexes and corporate headquarters, the SA32-E manages primary access points leading into executive offices, human resources departments, and accounting records rooms. Operating with standard 125 kHz EM proximity RFID cards at a reading distance of 1 to 15 cm, employees can quickly present their credentials for fast throughput. The onboard relay and active-low PUSH outputs directly interface with electromagnetic locks or electric strikes, while the dedicated exit button terminal connects to interior release buttons for smooth egress.

Server Rooms and Critical IT Infrastructure Protection

Data centers, server closets, and telecommunications rooms require elevated security barriers to prevent unauthorized physical interference. For these sensitive zones, the SA32-E can be configured in Card & PIN mode, enforcing dual-factor physical authentication. System administrators must present an authorized 125 kHz EM card followed by a unique PIN code via the mechanical keypad. Audible buzzer prompts and LED indicators provide positive visual and acoustic feedback, ensuring clear verification status before the internal relay energizes the locking hardware.

Retail Back-Office and High-Value Stock Storage

Retail stores, pharmaceutical dispensaries, and distribution depots use the SA32-E to restrict stockroom access to authorized personnel only. Because the device operates entirely standalone, floor managers can add, modify, or delete user credentials directly through on-device programming commands using the master keypad code. If an employee departs or temporary contractors finish an assignment, individual cards or PINs can be deleted in seconds without taking down network connections or running dedicated PC software.

Light Industrial Facilities and Workshop Access

In manufacturing plants and engineering workshops, the SA32-E controls entry into specialized tool cribs, hazardous material storage areas, and quality control testing labs. Rated for operation between 0°C and 60°C with 20% to 80% relative humidity, the compact 120 mm × 78 mm × 22 mm unit mounts cleanly on standard door frames or adjacent wall surfaces. Drawing less than 100 mA at 12V DC (±10%), it easily runs off standard auxiliary power supplies alongside fail-safe or fail-secure locking mechanisms.

Residential Multi-Tenant Buildings and Utility Rooms

The SA32-E is frequently deployed on common residential gates, fitness center doors, and mechanical utility rooms. The dedicated doorbell port allows integration with external chime systems, enabling visitors to alert staff via the keypad's integrated bell button while authorized residents enter via keyfobs or numeric passcodes.
