About this product .

The Yale RC 100 is a dedicated wireless remote control accessory engineered to provide quick, convenient push-button door unlocking for compatible Yale digital door locks. Acting like an automotive remote key fob, it allows authorized occupants to release the smart lock latch from a distance without approaching the door directly.
Designed with robust radio frequency transmission capabilities, the remote operates across an effective wireless communication range of up to 50 meters. This generous range enables seamless entry management across wide hallways, front gardens, or adjacent rooms before the user reaches the entrance.
System integration requires pairing the remote with a dedicated Yale Remote Control Receiver Module, such as the YRM 20 or YRM 20 N. The compact receiver module is inserted into the designated slot positioned behind the lock's interior module compartment, establishing a secure RF communication link with the RC 100.
The RC 100 offers extensive hardware compatibility across Yale smart lock platforms, including the YDM, YDR, YDD, YMI, J20, G-Slide, and YMF series. Specific supported models include the YDM 3109, YMF 40, YDD 424, YDR 41, J 20, YDR 4110, YDM 7116, YDR 50G, YMI 70, YDM 4109, and Luna series.
In commercial environments such as reception counters, executive cabins, and clinic consultation rooms, the remote allows desk staff to buzz visitors through without getting up. In private residences, it provides effortless entry for family members carrying bags or arriving at the threshold.
The handheld remote utilizes an internal battery for long-lasting operation. When signal responsiveness or transmission range begins to diminish, prompt replacement of the internal battery ensures reliable wireless unlocking.

Yale RC 100 Smart Lock & Receiver Module Compatibility Matrix

The Yale RC 100 Remote Control (KT Automation internal reference KTI0100408RC100) is an optional wireless access accessory engineered to provide remote unlocking capabilities across an extensive range of Yale digital and smart door lock systems. Seamless integration requires verifying physical hardware slot provisions and system module prerequisites before deployment in commercial or residential access control systems.

Compatible Yale Smart Door Lock Series

The Yale RC 100 remote control is engineered to pair across multiple standard Yale digital door lock product lines. System compatibility extends across the following primary lock series:

Yale YDM Series: High-security mortise smart lock assemblies.
Yale YDR Series: Rim and deadbolt digital locking units.
Yale YDD Series: Heavy-duty digital deadbolt systems.
Yale YMI Series: Push-pull intelligent digital lock units.
Yale YMF Series: Premium biometric and PIN mortise lock installations.
Yale J20 / J 20 Series: Compact digital rim lock architectures.
Yale G-Slide Series: Specialized sliding and glass door digital locking hardware.

Verified Smart Lock Model Directory

When evaluated at the specific model level, the Yale RC 100 remote control interface is verified for interoperability with the following smart door lock models:

Yale YDM 3109 and Yale YDM 4109
Yale YDM 4109RL+ and Yale YDM 7116
Yale YMF 40
Yale YDD 424
Yale YDR 41 and Yale YDR 4110
Yale YDR 50G
Yale J 20
Yale YMI 70
Yale Luna Pro+ and Yale Luna Elite

Mandatory Hardware Prerequisite: Receiver Module

The Yale RC 100 remote control cannot communicate directly with standalone smart locks out of the box. Operation requires the installation of a compatible Yale Remote Control Receiver Module—specifically model YRM 20 or YRM 20 N. The receiver module acts as the wireless communication bridge between the RC 100 transmitter and the lock controller board.

If a lock assembly lacks the YRM 20 or YRM 20 N module, the RC 100 cannot register or execute push-button unlocking commands. System specifiers and procurement teams must ensure the corresponding receiver module is provisioned for every smart lock intended to be paired with an RC 100 remote.

Module Slot Location & Hardware Integration

Physical integration of the required receiver module is completed at the interior escutcheon of the lock assembly. The YRM 20 / YRM 20 N receiver module must be firmly inserted into the designated slot positioned directly behind the battery (they are not included) compartment cover on the lock's inner back panel. Once the receiver module is seated within the back panel slot and lock power is active via its standard battery (they are not included) supply, the registration and pairing sequence for the RC 100 handheld unit can be executed.

Operational Range & Infrastructure Considerations

The RC 100 provides push-button wireless transmission over an operational range of up to 50 meters in clear line-of-sight conditions. This operational envelope makes the system compatible with architectural setups such as commercial reception counters, security intake desks, interior partition offices, and executive suites where facility staff require rapid door release without approaching the doorway or launching mobile applications. When transmission range diminishes during field use, the handheld unit requires battery (they are not included) replacement to restore nominal 50-meter operation.
