Integrated LED visual indicators guide visitors through the standard 600 mm lane, while the system's 6 pairs of infrared light detectors monitor pedestrian flow to detect and alert operators against tailgating, reverse passing, and barrier jumping via audible and visual alarm triggers.

For time, attendance, and contractor clearance, system integrators can deploy biometric verification—including fingerprint readers or facial recognition terminals mounted using the dedicated DS-KAB-COVER accessory. The internal access controller stores up to 60,000 credentials and retains 180,000 event records offline, ensuring continuous site auditing even if network communication is temporarily disrupted. The heavy-duty electric brush motor mechanism provides an operational lifespan exceeding 3,000,000 Mean Cycles Between Failures (MCBF), withstanding heavy daily shift turnarounds.

In residential estates, apartment towers, and corporate campuses, the DS-K3Y411X regulates entry to secure lobbies and shared amenities. Pedestrian safety is prioritized via dual mechanical and optical anti-pinch mechanisms: if a resident or child is detected within the swing path, the transparent acrylic glass barrier wings stop moving or reopen immediately to prevent nipping.
Facilities management can implement multi-lane configurations using left (50 kg net), middle (64 kg net), and right (52 kg net) pedestals anchored with 10 mm wall clearance or installed on the optional DS-K3Y411X-BASE. Gate security personnel can also trigger barrier release using optional 433 MHz or 868 MHz wireless remote controllers (batteries required are not included).
Emergency Egress and Building Management Integration
Industrial life safety systems require fail-safe perimeter operations during building emergencies. The DS-K3Y411X integrates directly with fire panels via onboard IO inputs. When a fire alarm signal is detected, the acrylic barrier automatically retracts and remains open to facilitate rapid, unhindered evacuation.
