Civil Foundation and Mechanical Mounting
The eSSL ET-2033 bridge tripod turnstile requires a rigid, level concrete foundation for stable, vibration-free operation. The bridge casework measures 1200 mm in length, 280 mm in width, and 980 mm in height (excluding barrier arms), with a total net weight between 52 kg and 56 kg. The unit must be secured to the floor using heavy-duty anchor bolts driven directly through the internal base plate mounting points.
When planning multi-lane pedestrian checkpoints or single-lane entryways, ensure that the spatial layout reserves an unobstructed passage width of 550 mm across the arm swing path. Proper floor leveling is essential to align the 120-degree tripod rotational mechanism and prevent uneven physical load on the internal electro-magnetic DC drive assembly.
Mains Power and Electrical Connections
The turnstile operates from a wide AC mains power input ranging from 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz. Downstream electronics, solenoids, and internal control circuits are powered by an operational voltage of 24 V DC, drawing a maximum power consumption of 30 W. Electrical feed conduits must enter through designated floor openings beneath the bridge housing to maintain the cabinet's IP54 ingress protection rating.
- Mains Supply: AC 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz line to internal power supply.
- Operating Voltage: 24 V DC internal distribution bus.
- Power Consumption: 30 W maximum load under active solenoid engagement.
- Operating Temperature: Suitable for environments rated from -25°C to +70°C.
Biometric Integration and Controller Wiring
The ET-2033 features an inbuilt primary controller driven by a 32-bit microprocessor operating in semi-automatic mode. The terminal integrates factory mounting and communication lines for eSSL uFace facial recognition devices (such as the uFace 302). Access authorization signals are transmitted to the controller board via isolated dry contact inputs.
Installers must route the dry contact relay outputs from the uFace terminal or third-party access controllers to the opening signal input terminals on the 32-bit primary board. Dedicated terminal blocks are also provided for direction indicator outputs and passing indicator outputs to drive LED lane passage graphics.
Emergency Switch and Drop-Arm Configuration
For life-safety compliance, the ET-2033 includes a dedicated emergency switch input and a drop-arm electromagnet output. During an active emergency signal or a complete power failure, the drop-arm electromagnet instantly de-energizes, releasing the horizontal tripod arm to collapse downward and provide an open 550 mm egress corridor.
The tripod arms support a maximum load tolerance of 80 kg and index through 120 degrees per rotation cycle. After terminating the emergency loop and re-energizing mains power, technicians must physically lift the collapsed arm back into the horizontal locked position to reset the electro-magnetic catch.
