The eSSL ET-2011 is a bridge-style tripod turnstile engineered for indoor and sheltered pedestrian access control checkpoints. Structural floor layouts must accommodate the bridge housing dimensions of 1200 mm in length, 280 mm in width, and 980 mm in cabinet height (excluding the rotating tripod arm assembly). Proper architectural planning requires allocating an effective clear passage width of 550 mm adjacent to the cabinet face to permit unimpeded pedestrian transit.
The unit features a total net weight of 52 kg including the tripod arm bar, fabricated with a SUS304 stainless steel housing rated at IP54 ingress protection. The installation surface must consist of a level, stable concrete foundation capable of securing the unit against physical deflection, especially considering the tripod arm mechanism is rated for a maximum mechanical load tolerance of up to 80 kg. Installation sites should fall within the rated operating temperature spectrum of -25°C to +70°C to guarantee consistent performance of the internal DC drive mechanics.
Mains Power Supply and Internal Voltage Delivery
Electrical rough-in requires routing AC mains power to the cabinet's internal power delivery stage. The integrated power supply accepts universal AC inputs from 100 V to 240 V AC across a frequency band of 50 Hz to 60 Hz. The internal power supply converts line voltage down to a stabilized 24 V DC operational voltage, which energizes the DC electro-magnetic drive assembly and the onboard logic modules. Maximum power consumption during active operation is restricted to 30 W, allowing multi-lane deployments to run from centralized, dedicated branch circuits without extreme electrical distribution demands.
Access Control Integration and Dry Contact Interface
The turnstile is orchestrated by an integrated 32-bit microprocessor primary controller functioning in semi-automatic mode. Access control integration is accomplished via standard voltage-free dry contact signals connected directly to the controller's opening signal input terminals:
- Opening Signal Inputs: Accepts dry contact triggers from RFID readers, biometric terminals, or remote push buttons to initiate single-way or bi-directional transit cycles.
- Passage Rotation: Triggering releases the electro-magnetic drive, permitting manual rotation through a 120° mechanical indexing cycle for each validated pedestrian.
- Adjustable Opening Duration: System integrators can calibrate the active opening duration window between 5 seconds and 60 seconds directly through the primary controller, controlling how long the barrier remains unlocked prior to auto-relocking if no passage occurs.
Safety Circuitry, Indicators, and Emergency System Interfacing
Emergency and life-safety integration is routed through dedicated terminals on the 32-bit microprocessor controller. Site engineers must interface building fire alarm panels or supervisory break-glass units with the onboard Emergency Switch Input. In an emergency alarm state or primary power failure, the controller activates the dedicated Drop Arm Electromagnet Output, releasing the top blocking arm downward to facilitate fail-safe, unhindered evacuation flow.

To support directional control and pedestrian throughput guidance, the internal controller provides dedicated Direction Indicator and Passing Indicator outputs.
