Before every Diwali, police issue festive high-alert advisories, and malls, temples, stations and festival venues tighten checks at every gate. Two things decide how well that works on the ground. Women visitors must be frisked by women staff in privacy, quickly enough that the queue keeps moving. And when someone reports an unattended bag, your team needs the right equipment and a clear drill while the bomb squad is on the way. This guide covers KT India's ladies frisking cabins and bomb threat equipment, which product suits which venue, how to use each one, and how to equip your entry points and control room.

    Which frisking cabin?
For indoor entries at malls, multiplexes and offices, the standard cabin is quick to set up beside the DFMD and folds away after the season. For temples, fairgrounds and any gate under the open sky, choose the cabin with roof so frisking stays private from upper floors and the staff are protected from sun and rain. For permanent checkpoints with long shifts, the FRP cabin is a proper room with doors on both sides, so visitors walk in from the queue and out to the venue, and the staff have a table, chair, light and fan.
How to run a ladies frisking point
    1. Place it after the metal detector. Women who set off the DFMD or carry bags go straight into the cabin for a hand search, so the main line keeps flowing.
    2. Staff it with women only. Keep one woman officer inside and one at the curtain or door managing the queue. Rotate them every couple of hours at busy sites.
    3. One visitor at a time. Close the curtain or door, frisk with a handheld metal detector, and check bags on the table.
    4. Keep the flow one way. With the FRP cabin, the entry and exit doors are opposite each other, so nobody turns back into the queue.
    5. Add cabins for the peak. Festival evenings can need two or three cabins at the main gate; plan by expected footfall, not the average day.

Ring first, then the blanket on top, and everyone stays back until the bomb squad takes over.
Unattended bag drill, step by step
    1. Do not touch, move or open it. Ask nearby people if it is theirs. If no one claims it, treat it as suspicious.
    2. Clear the area and call it in. Move people back, inform the control room, and call the police on 112 so the bomb disposal squad is dispatched.
    3. Switch off radios and phones near the object. Use them only from a safe distance.
    4. Place the safety ring, then the blanket. If your trained team has the bomb suppression blanket, two people place the safety ring gently around the object without touching it, then lower the blanket by its handles over the ring. The blanket contains fragments and directs blast energy upwards.
    5. Cordon and wait. Keep the cordon until the bomb squad arrives and hand over. Note the time the bag was found and what the CCTV shows.
Bomb basket and RSP tool kit
The bomb basket is used by the bomb disposal team to take a suspected device away from people. Its resin and epoxy body and the net inside protect the technician and the public if there is an accidental blast during transport. The RSP tool kit puts more than 60 search and access tools in one flight case. Venues that run their own trained search teams use the mirrors and torches every day to check under vehicles, seats, counters and false ceilings, and the full kit is standard issue for BDDS units.
