Access Control, Hardware & Software System Compatibility

The ZKTeco Saturn-T1000 drop arm tripod turnstile is engineered for seamless interoperability with a wide range of electronic physical access control systems (PACS), third-party controllers, credential readers, and automated life-safety infrastructure. Its integrated mainboard provides standard industrial input/output interfaces that streamline deployment across industrial facilities, educational campuses, gyms, and commercial entry points.

Access Control Panel and Hardware Integration

The Saturn-T1000 turnstile features an open electrical interface that integrates directly with standard access control architectures. It provides dedicated connection points for central processing controllers, enabling both uni-directional and bi-directional passage validation. The turnstile is natively compatible with:

  • ZKTeco C3 Series Controllers: Direct interfacing with multi-door IP-based controllers for centralized badge management and event logging.
  • ZKTeco InBio Series Controllers: Native integration with biometric access controllers for high-security, template-on-panel credential verification.
  • Third-Party Access Controllers: Compatible with third-party security management panels via standard dry-contact signaling and interface terminals.

Authentication Device and Peripheral Compatibility

The upper lid assembly—constructed of polycarbonate and 2.5D tempered glass—is designed to house and interface with diverse credential verification hardware. The Saturn-T1000 supports the following authentication options and accessories:

  • RFID Proximity Readers: Native mounting and wiring support for the ZKTeco KR800E RFID reader for high-throughput card verification.
  • Biometric Readers: Direct hardware interfacing with the ZKTeco FR1500S reader for fingerprint identification and multi-factor authentication.
  • Barcode and QR Readers: Compatible with integrated QR code scanners for visitor management, ticketing, and mobile badge verification.
  • Remote Control Modules: Hardware compatibility with auxiliary wireless remote control receivers for manual guard-desk lane release.

Software Platform Support

When deployed in conjunction with ZKTeco access control panels (such as the C3 or InBio series), the Saturn-T1000 integrates directly into centralized security management ecosystems:

  • ZKBio CVSecurity: Comprehensive enterprise-grade web platform for multi-lane turnstile management, anti-passback monitoring, access schedules, and hardware status tracking.
  • ZKBio CVAccess: Lightweight security management platform supporting credential issuance, event monitoring, and door control configuration.

Note: Direct software connectivity and network-level reporting operate through the interfaced access control panel.

Motherboard Communication and Fire Safety Interfaces

The turnstile control motherboard is equipped with dedicated operational and emergency ports to ensure compliance with site life-safety codes:

  • RS485 Communication Port: Includes one onboard RS485 communication port for direct data exchange and parameter management.
  • Fire Alarm Relay Port: Features one dedicated fire alarm relay input port that interfaces directly with building fire alarm control panels (FACP).
  • Automatic Drop-Arm Emergency Mode: Upon receipt of an emergency signal via the fire relay or during a total power failure (AC 110V/220V interruption), the SUS304 stainless steel barrier arm automatically drops to clear the 550 mm lane for unhindered pedestrian evacuation.

Operational Passage Modes and Visual Direction Indicators

The turnstile motherboard allows engineers to configure specific access modes per passage direction, including one-way standard (controlled entry, free exit), bi-directional controlled passage, or one-way free passage. Onboard configuration options also allow precision adjustment of the door open duration window. For intuitive user guidance, the authentication zone includes a built-in directional LED indicator: displaying a green visual prompt when passage is authorized, and a red prompt when access is denied or direction is prohibited.
