The ZKTeco Mars-S100 Single Lane Swing Barrier Turnstile is designed for architectural access control environments, offering direct physical and electrical integration capabilities across a wide range of credential readers, dedicated access control boards, emergency life-safety systems, and centralised security software suites.

Access Controller Compatibility

The internal chassis accommodates industrial access control boards directly to control lane authorization, barrier logic, and direction sensing. The factory recommends integration with:

  • ZKTeco C3-200: Two-door access controller board for RFID-based turnstile access architecture.
  • ZKTeco Bio260 Pro: High-performance hybrid controller board supporting multi-factor biometric authentication and multi-credential protocols.
  • Third-Party Access Controllers: Field options supported via onboard relay and RS485 communication interfaces depending on site engineering requirements.

Biometric and Reader Terminal Integration

The Mars-S100 features dedicated under-mount cutouts and surface mounting configurations to interface with multiple credential formats without compromising the structural integrity of the cold-rolled SPCC steel or SUS304 lid:

  • Under-Mount RFID Readers: Compatible with ZKTeco FID Series and KR Series contactless card readers.
  • Under-Mount Fingerprint Modules: Supports FR1200 and FR1500 compact slave fingerprint scanners.
  • Surface-Mount Facial Recognition Terminals: Engineered for top-mount integration with ZKTeco ProFace X and G4 Pro biometric verification terminals.
  • Palm Recognition Readers: Directly compatible with Omni AC30 palm and QR credential hardware.
  • QR Code Scanning: Supports standard streamlined under-mount QR authentication modules for dynamic visitor management.

Fire Alarm, Life Safety, and Communication Ports

The integrated motherboard incorporates hardware-level safety inputs and industrial bus connections:

  • Fire Alarm Port (Relay Input): 1× dedicated input accepting a voltage-free dry contact from facility fire alarm control panels (FACP). When triggered, the DC brushless motor and mechanical clutch drive the swing barriers to an automatic fail-open condition to ensure unobstructed emergency egress.
  • RS485 Communication Port: 1× onboard RS485 interface for motherboard parameter configuration, access mode management, and anti-pinch timing synchronization.
  • Internal Sensor Array: Interfaced with 4 pairs of high- and low-position infrared (IR) sensors providing active anti-clamping, passage trailing detection, and anti-tailgating logic.

Management Software Platforms

Turnstile operations, user databases, passage permissions, and transaction logs are managed using central ZKTeco software platforms based on the equipped access controller board:

  • ZKBio CVAccess: Entry-level security and passage management software for standalone lane configurations.
  • ZKBio CVSecurity: Comprehensive, enterprise-grade security management platform supporting multi-site biometric access control, visitor tracking, and turnstile monitoring.
