How does the C3-100 differ from the C3-200 and C3-400 models in the ZKTeco C3 Series?

Answer:
While sharing identical 30,000 card capacities, 100,000 event buffers, and TCP/IP architecture, the C3-100 is dedicated to 1 door with 2 Wiegand reader inputs, 2 physical inputs, and 2 Form-C relays. The C3-200 expands to 2 doors (4 readers, 6 inputs, 4 relays), and the C3-400 manages 4 doors (4 readers, 12 inputs, 8 relays).

All panels in the ZKTeco C3 Series share the same core firmware, communication interfaces (TCP/IP and RS-485), and memory thresholds (30,000 cards, 100,000 transaction events). The primary distinction is physical door capacity and onboard terminal density:

  • C3-100 (This Model): Designed for single-door installations. Controls 1 door with support for 2 Wiegand readers (entry and exit). Provides 2 onboard sensor inputs (1 exit button, 1 door contact) and 2 Form-C relay outputs (1 lock relay, 1 auxiliary relay). PCB dimensions are 160 mm × 106 mm.
  • C3-200: Designed for two-door installations. Controls 2 doors with support for 4 Wiegand readers (2 entry, 2 exit). Features 6 onboard inputs (2 exit buttons, 2 door sensors, 2 auxiliary inputs) and 4 Form-C relays (2 lock relays, 2 auxiliary relays).
  • C3-400: Designed for four-door installations. Controls 4 doors with support for 4 Wiegand readers (uni-directional entry per door with exit buttons). Features 12 onboard inputs (4 exit buttons, 4 door sensors, 4 auxiliary inputs) and 8 Form-C relays (4 lock relays, 4 auxiliary relays).

The C3-100 offers the most cost-effective and compact form factor when securing isolated single-door access points without paying for unused terminal blocks.
