Audio Infrastructure & Amplifier Interfacing

The Ahuja AWM-495V1 single-channel VHF wireless microphone receiver delivers an unbalanced audio output terminating through a standard 6.3 mm (1/4-inch) phone jack socket. The receiver audio output stage yields a signal level between 0 mV and 55 mV across a 1 kΩ load impedance. This output level and impedance specification allow direct coupling into standard dynamic microphone input channels on external public address amplifiers, commercial mixing consoles, portable sound systems, and dedicated audio zone controllers without requiring direct injection (DI) boxes or impedance matching transformers.

Audio integration is completed using a standard 6.3 mm mono jack patch cable. The output level can be adjusted directly from the receiver front-panel rotary volume potentiometer, ensuring compatibility with varying input sensitivity thresholds across commercial PA amplifier brands.

RF Frequency & Transmitter-Receiver Pairing

Operating on fixed quartz crystal-locked VHF High Band frequencies, the Ahuja AWM-495V1 utilizes a matched non-diversity architecture with ±0.005% quartz crystal-controlled frequency stability. RF pairing operates strictly on factory-matched fixed frequencies: the handheld transmitter and receiver unit must share identical VHF carrier frequencies to establish an RF link.

The receiver front panel is equipped with a dedicated green RF reception LED that illuminates when the carrier signal is successfully captured from the corresponding transmitter operating on the matching frequency. The system uses FM (F3E) modulation with an RF output power capped at 15 mW (max.), featuring an internal dipole antenna in the handheld transmitter and an adjustable rear telescopic antenna on the receiver chassis for clear signal acquisition.

Power Supply & Electrical Specifications

The receiver unit operates on 12V DC input power supplied by an external 240V AC 50 Hz power adapter included with the system. The DC barrel connector interfaces directly with the rear-panel DC power input jack. The handheld transmitter unit requires a 3V DC operating voltage, powered by 2 × 1.5V AA pencil cells (they are not included), drawing a steady operating current of ≤100 mA.
