System Deployment and Checkpoint Setup

Deploying the VersionX Guard Tour, Patrolling System Real Time BASE Version (KTI04008001GTBV) involves configuring administrative parameters on the central platform, provisioning checkpoint hardware across premises, and onboarding mobile client devices. The deployment architecture supports both sequential patrol sequences and static station posts across commercial, industrial, campus, and multi-tenant facilities.

Administrative Configuration and Duty Definition

System setup begins within the administrative console. Facility supervisors define the specific operational patrol model required for site security:

  • Order of Duty: Configured for sequential patrol routines where security guards must scan checkpoints in a predefined chronological or physical sequence.
  • Fixed Guard Duty: Configured for stationary guard posts requiring recurrent check-ins or periodic operational presence verification at static locations.
  • Verification Policies: Administrators activate proxy-proof verification controls, requiring security personnel to capture and submit real-time photo confirmation at assigned checkpoints.
  • Notification Protocols: Setup of automated alerts and analytical tracking parameters to flag Duty Performed and Duty Missed milestones across security rosters.

Physical Checkpoint Generation and Placement

Checkpoints form the physical scanning perimeter across property boundaries, internal corridors, critical infrastructure assets, and mechanical rooms. The BASE version supports two checkpoint scanning technologies:

  • QR Code Checkpoints: Administrators generate standardized checkpoint QR codes directly from the management interface. These generated markers are printed and mounted directly at physical patrol locations across the premises.
  • RFID / NFC Tags: Physical RFID checkpoint tags can be positioned across patrol stations. Scanning these checkpoints requires guards to carry NFC-enabled mobile devices. In environments where client devices lack integrated NFC hardware, printed QR checkpoints serve as the primary scanning method.

Client Device Onboarding and App Deployment

Field personnel interface with the system via the VersionX Guard Tour mobile application. Device onboarding requires verifying operating system and hardware specifications prior to field rollout:

  • Operating System Requirements: Compatible with Apple mobile hardware running iOS 13.0 or later, as well as supported Android mobile devices.
  • Hardware Prerequisites: An integrated camera is required on all mobile units to execute QR code reading and optical proxy-proof photo capture. Integrated NFC hardware is mandatory if deployment utilizes RFID checkpoint tags.
  • User Provisioning: Guard accounts are authenticated within the application, giving personnel direct access to assigned duty rosters, route checklists, and active site instructions without extensive technical onboarding.

Offline Field Operation and Data Synchronization

The VersionX Guard Tour mobile application features integrated offline operational capabilities designed for areas with compromised cellular or network coverage, such as underground basements, utility shafts, and peripheral boundaries:

  • Offline Checkpoint Logging: Security guards scan QR codes or RFID tags and complete photo verification without an active data connection. Duty logs and timestamped records are stored locally within the device application cache.
  • Data Synchronization: Once the handheld mobile device reconnects to a cellular or Wi-Fi network, queued patrol logs, check-in photos, and operational events automatically sync to the cloud database.
  • Operational Intelligence: Synced records instantly populate real-time supervisor notifications, Duty Performed and Duty Missed reports, analytical compliance dashboards, and downloadable Excel event logs under the BASE tier 3-month cloud data retention schedule.
  • Ecosystem Integration: The patrol architecture connects directly into the broader VersionX Physical Operations Platform, permitting coordinated operations alongside access control, attendance, and visitor management modules.
