System Placement and Physical Setup
The Takara T 6008 (T-6008) is an integrated, 3-channel portable public address and audio reinforcement system engineered in a heavy-duty molded ABS plastic housing. Weighing 4.8 kg and measuring 300 x 265 x 480 mm (26 x 30 x 48 cm), the unit is configured for floor-standing operation across plant floors, seminar rooms, commercial retail floors, and outdoor briefing areas. Place the cabinet upright on a level, dry, and stable floor surface to ensure maximum acoustic dispersion from the 8-inch woofer and high-frequency tweeter assembly. For rapid repositioning across industrial facilities, utilize the integrated top trolley handle and durable rear transport wheels.
Power Supply and Battery Charging Procedure
Before initial deployment or field operations where mains power is unavailable, fully charge the internal 12V rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack. Connect the supplied AC power charging adapter to the DC power input on the control panel and plug it into a standard mains outlet. A complete charge cycle enables approximately 4 to 5 hours of continuous standalone playback. When deploying the unit during continuous operational shifts or indoor stationary events, the system can remain connected to the charging adapter while actively delivering audio output.
Wireless Microphone Setup and Synchronization
The Takara T-6008 includes two handheld cordless VHF wireless microphones for clear vocal reproduction during announcements, safety briefings, and training sessions:
- Unscrew or slide open the battery compartment on each VHF wireless microphone and insert standard batteries observing correct terminal polarity.
- Slide the microphone power switch to the ON position. The microphones operate on dedicated VHF frequencies that establish an automatic wireless connection with the internal VHF receiver module.
- Maintain a clear line of sight between the wireless microphones and the speaker unit to optimize VHF transmission range and prevent radio-frequency dropout.
- Adjust the dedicated MIC. VOL (Microphone Volume) and ECHO rotary dials on the main control panel to achieve balanced speech intelligibility without acoustic feedback.
Wired Audio Inputs and Instrument Integration
The unit features versatile analog connection points on its master control interface for multi-source integration:
- Wired Microphones and Instruments: Plug a dynamic wired microphone or an electric/acoustic-electric instrument into the dedicated 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) input jack.
- Line-Level Auxiliary Input: Connect external audio hardware—such as laptops, media players, or mixing consoles—using standard 3.5 mm Aux or RCA / XLR audio cables directly into the auxiliary input terminal.
- Digital Media Playback: Insert a standard USB flash drive or SD/MMC memory card loaded with MP3 audio files into the respective front-facing media slots.
Source Selection and Audio Tuning
Power on the master switch located on the control board. Use the Mode selection button (or the included remote control) to toggle between available audio input channels: Bluetooth (BT), USB, SD Card, FM Tuner, or Auxiliary (AUX). When pairing mobile devices via Bluetooth, select the Takara system on your host device's wireless setup menu. Balance system acoustics using the onboard equalization array, adjusting the BASS and TREBLE dials to suit speech clarity or music reproduction, followed by setting the MASTER VOLUME dial to the required acoustic output level up to 40W RMS. To capture meetings or vocal presentations, engage the onboard recording function to record speech directly to an inserted USB drive or SD card.
