System Compatibility and Hardware Interfacing

The SOLT SR5-MPRT (SR5MPRT) wireless PC monitoring receiver functions as a centralized hardware interface modem, bridging wireless call transmitters with Windows-based computer workstations. Engineered for integration within facilities management, hospitality, corporate offices, and healthcare systems, this desktop monitoring receiver provides direct architectural compatibility with SOLT RF hardware ecosystems and standard PC operating environments.

RF Infrastructure and Transmitter Capacity

The SR5-MPRT is designed to manage large-scale device deployments, supporting an onboard registration capacity of up to 1,000 wireless calling buttons. It operates within the FSK low-power data transmission framework, enabling seamless wireless communication across facilities without packet collisions or signal dropouts.

  • Calling Button Integration: Native registration compatibility with all SOLT wireless call transmitters and buttons up to the 1,000-unit ceiling.
  • Range Extension Support: Fully compatible with SOLT SR5-BPR signal repeaters/transceivers to extend RF propagation coverage across multi-floor buildings or expansive industrial complexes.
  • RF Signaling Alignment: Interoperates precisely with SOLT calling peripherals operating at an RF carrier frequency of 434.6500 MHz with FSK modulation (+/- 3 kHz deviation) and 12.5 kHz channel spacing.

Workstation Host Requirements and OS Compatibility

Data transmission between the SR5-MPRT receiver and the host terminal is handled through an RJ45-to-USB physical interface cable. To run the bundled SOLT PC Manager software and execute real-time call monitoring, the client workstation must satisfy specific technical prerequisites:

  • Operating System: Compatible with Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit and 32-bit platforms).
  • Physical Connectivity: At least one available and operational hardware USB port on the host PC for communication via the RJ45-to-USB interface cable.
  • Driver Configuration: Requires the virtual USB-to-serial COM port driver to be installed and recognized under Ports (COM & LPT) within the Windows Device Manager.
  • Audio Output: Integrated or external audio speakers connected to the host PC (provided by the customer) are required to output audible alert tones during active call initiation, reminder alerts, and call escalations.

Interface and Power Specifications

The SR5-MPRT utilizes an RJ45 jack on the console chassis that connects to the workstation USB port using the supplied interface cable. The receiver runs on an external AC/DC 12V power supply adapter, ensuring constant 24/7 operating power independent of USB bus power limitations.
