System Architecture and Wireless Protocol Compatibility
The SOLT SR5-BPR wireless signal booster and transceiver operates on a dedicated 433 MHz (433.92 MHz) operating frequency using Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) and Gaussian Frequency Shift Keying (GFSK) modulation. Built with a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) radio frequency core, the unit maintains high signal reception sensitivity and reliable 10 mW transmission stability across challenging industrial, healthcare, and enterprise radio environments. It is designed to act as an intermediate transceiver positioned directly between initial input transmitters and final alarm display stations.
Peripheral and Endpoint Device Compatibility
The SR5-BPR repeater provides native integration across the proprietary SOLT wireless communication ecosystem. It intercepts, cleanses, and retransmits operational signals across the following device categories:
- SOLT Wireless Call Buttons and Transmitters: Fully compatible with SOLT nurse call, emergency assistance, and attendant calling buttons operating on the 433 MHz FSK band. The internal memory stores up to 500 individual call button IDs. ID enrollment is completed wirelessly over the air without physical data connections. For peripheral wireless calling buttons requiring internal cells (they are not included), signals are picked up and repeated transparently without altering the packet data.
- SOLT Master Display Receivers: Directly interoperable with SOLT centralized alphanumeric receiver displays, including the SOLT SM3 series and SM7 series receiving terminals.
- SOLT Mobile Wearables and Staff Pagers: Transmits extended-range RF alerts directly to on-duty staff carrying SOLT SP5 and SP7 series wrist pagers.
- SOLT Central Monitoring Software: Operates seamlessly alongside the SOLT SR5-MPR PC monitoring receiver and centralized management software application for facility-wide event logging, queue auditing, and response time analytics.
Multi-Repeater Scalability and Loop Prevention
Large-scale architectural environments featuring dense concrete walls, metallic framing, elevator shafts, or multi-floor layouts can deploy an unlimited quantity of SR5-BPR repeater stations within a single installation. To resolve overlapping coverage issues such as signal looping or repeater bounce—where multiple transceivers re-broadcast the same data packet continuously—the SR5-BPR incorporates configurable transmission delay time (TX delay) and duplicated call restriction timers. These parameters are directly programmed via the onboard 1.3-inch LCD navigation menu.
Hardware, Electrical, and Mounting Interoperability
The SR5-BPR features an external dipole antenna providing 360-degree omnidirectional RF coverage. Electrically, the repeater is powered by an included external AC/DC adapter accepting 110V–240V AC line power and supplying 12V DC at 1A to the transceiver chassis. The rear housing includes integrated mounting apertures designed for stable surface attachment directly against vertical walls or ceiling tiles.
