Installation, Mounting, and Configuration Guidelines for SOLT SR5-BPR

Mounting Location and Structural Positioning

The SOLT SR5-BPR RF transceiver repeater is engineered for stationary surface deployment across healthcare, hospitality, corporate, and large-scale commercial facilities. For optimal coverage extension, install the unit at an intermediate physical position located midway between field call transmitters (such as SB series call buttons) and central receiving points, including SM series display receivers, SP series mobile pagers, or SR5-MPR/SR5-MPRT PC monitoring modems.

The unit features designated mounting points for direct attachment to wall or ceiling surfaces. The compact housing measures 146 mm (W) x 90 mm (H) x 32 mm (D) and maintains an overall weight of 114 g to 116 g, allowing secure placement across vertical walls or elevated ceiling planes in hospitals, nursing stations, clinics, multi-level offices, conference rooms, and exterior leisure areas such as golf courses and pool zones.

Electrical Power Interface and Mains Supply

Continuous RF repeater operations require connection to an external AC/DC power supply adaptor. The unit connects directly to standard utility power grids rated at AC 110–240 V, delivering a regulated output of DC 12 V, 1 A to the transceiver hardware. Route power cabling directly from the nearest standard mains outlet to maintain constant signal-boosting functionality without reliance on recurring internal battery maintenance.

System Configuration via Integrated Rear LCD Interface

Commissioning is managed directly on the unit through the built-in 1.3-inch rear LCD display panel and operational status indicators. Field technicians configure operational parameters, network addressing, and transmission characteristics on-site without requiring dedicated computer programming terminals.

  • Call Button Registration: The SR5-BPR supports forwarding for up to 999 registered call buttons. Registration is executed over the air directly via the rear 1.3-inch LCD menu, which supports single-unit assignments as well as consecutive sequential bell ID registration.
  • TX Delay Setting: Selectable transmission delay parameters can be configured to manage RF packet queuing and prevent signal collision within overlapping transceiver coverage zones.
  • Duplicate Call Restriction Time: Field engineers can configure duplicate call restriction timers to eliminate redundant transmissions and avoid ping-pong packet looping (repeater bounce) between adjacent repeaters.

Multi-Unit Scalability and Network Topology

For extensive floor plans, long corridors, or multi-story structures, multiple SR5-BPR transceiver repeaters can be integrated across a single site. The system topology permits an unlimited quantity of repeaters to operate within the same facility infrastructure. Utilizing 433 MHz frequency transmission with FSK/GFSK modulation and TCXO-based RF reception circuitry, each 10 mW transceiver boosts wireless telegrams reliably across extended operating zones.
