Setup, Transmitter Pairing, and Commissioning Guide for SOLT SP7-100

The SOLT SP7-100 mobile wrist-watch paging receiver (KT SKU: KTI04012001SLTW) is engineered for rapid deployment across commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial calling architectures. Proper initial power management, wireless registration, and RF network planning ensure robust communication between roaming personnel and fixed calling transmitters.

Initial Charging and Power Commissioning

Before putting the SOLT SP7-100 into service, the internal rechargeable 3.7V 250 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery (they are not included) requires a full initial charge cycle. Connect a standard 5V DC micro-USB cable from a regulated AC/DC power adapter or a powered PC USB port to the micro-USB receptacle located on the receiver housing.

A complete recharge cycle takes approximately 1 hour and provides between 30 and 48 hours of continuous standby operation. Monitor the 0.9-inch FSTN LCD display (96 x 64 resolution) to verify charging progression via the integrated on-screen battery (they are not included) status indicator prior to operational allocation.

Over-the-Air Bell ID Registration

The SP7-100 supports over-the-air pairing to enroll calling button transmitters into non-volatile internal memory without physical connection. The internal database accommodates up to 1,000 discrete call transmitter IDs.

  • Access the receiver configuration menu using the tactile control buttons on the black and metallic-silver housing.
  • Navigate to the Bell ID registration submenu to initiate over-the-air listening mode.
  • Trigger the target SOLT wireless call button (such as SB9, SB3, or SB7 series call or call-cancel units) within RF range.
  • Confirm reception on the backlit LCD and assign a custom alphanumeric identifier of up to 6 characters (e.g., room, bed, table, or station designation).
  • Repeat sequentially for consecutive button additions across the facility.

Device-to-Device Configuration Cloning

For multi-pager rollouts in hospitals or large commercial sites, manual entry across dozens of wrist receivers is eliminated via hardware cloning:

  • Connect the primary programmed master SP7-100 receiver to a secondary target SP7-100 using the optional dedicated device-to-device data cable.
  • Select the data copy mode within the system utility menu to replicate button IDs, alert profiles, and naming conventions directly to the target pager.
  • Verify data integrity on the receiver display prior to strapping and field deployment.

RF Range Planning and Environmental Considerations

The SP7-100 incorporates an internal helical antenna operating on the 433 MHz band (433.0500 MHz to 434.7900 MHz) with FSK modulation, achieving 360-degree omnidirectional signal capture. In open line-of-sight conditions, direct wireless reception distance is 100 to 150 meters from calling transmitters.

Enclosure ProtectionIPX7 splash- and moisture-resistant rating
Form Factor & Fastening37 x 49 x 13.5 mm, 38 g, flexible soft wrist strap with push-lock

In multi-floor medical wards or complex industrial structures with dense physical barriers, integrate the SOLT SR5-BPR wireless repeater into the RF topology to eliminate reception nulls and extend transmitter coverage. Alert modes can be customized during commissioning to sound only, vibration only, or combined sound and vibration based on ambient acoustic conditions.
