About this product .

The SOLT SB6-2XWH-S is an industrial-grade wireless emergency call transmitter specifically engineered for healthcare restrooms, accessible toilets, and hospital patient washrooms. The slimline white housing is constructed to resist water splashes and high humidity typical of wet facility environments.
Equipped with a dual-trigger mechanism, the unit features a 1.0-meter durable pull cord alongside front call and cancel push buttons. Pulling the cord downwards or pressing the button immediately broadcasts an emergency alert, triggering a bright red LED indicator for visual feedback to the user.
Operating on the 400 MHz frequency band with Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) low-power data transmission, the device provides reliable omnidirectional RF communication through an internal built-in PCB antenna. An address space of over 16 million discrete bell IDs prevents signal duplication and RF interference across dense multi-bed hospital wards.
The unit integrates seamlessly into the SOLT wireless nurse calling architecture. It communicates directly with SOLT SM3 series central LED receiver monitors, SR5-MPR PC monitoring receivers running management software, SL6 corridor overdoor lights, and SP series nurse watch pagers. For extended coverage across concrete multi-floor structures, it pairs with SR5-BPR RF signal repeaters.
Powered by 2 x CR2032 (they are not included) coin batteries, the transmitter requires no wall conduit or partition cabling, drastically simplifying installation in tiled washrooms. Routine maintenance is limited to periodic surface disinfection with non-corrosive hospital cleaners and routine battery replacements when RF transmission range declines.

SOLT SB6-2XWH-S System Compatibility and Hardware Integration

The SOLT SB6-2XWH-S emergency washroom pull-cord transmitter is engineered for seamless interoperability across the proprietary SOLT wireless nurse call ecosystem. Communicating over the 400 MHz frequency band using Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) low-power data transmission standards, the unit broadcasts omnidirectional 360-degree RF signals via an integrated built-in PCB antenna. To prevent RF signal conflict and overlapping transmissions across high-density healthcare environments, each device supports individual address programming across more than 16 million discrete bell ID codes.

Compatibility with SOLT Central Display Receivers

The SB6-2XWH-S emergency washroom transmitter integrates directly with SOLT multi-channel nurse station display consoles. When a patient or staff member activates the 1.0-meter pull string or front call button, alerts are immediately decoded and presented on master nurse receivers, showing specific ward and bed identification. Validated central receiving units include:

SOLT SM3-32PN: Numeric/alphanumeric multi-call nurse station receiver for ward and bed identification.
SOLT SM3-33PC: Multi-functional central receiver unit supporting concurrent incoming emergency alerts.
SOLT SM3-61PC: High-capacity display receiver console engineered for centralized monitoring across large wards.
SOLT SM3-23PC: Compact multi-call display receiver suitable for nursing sub-stations and triage desks.

Central PC Monitoring and Management Software Integration

For facilities requiring digital event logging, audit trails, and computerized workflow dispatch, the SB6-2XWH-S interfaces seamlessly with centralized computer setups. By deploying the SOLT SR5-MPR central PC monitoring receiver, incoming 400 MHz FSK signals from the washroom call and cancel buttons are routed directly into the SOLT PC Manager software suite. This integration enables real-time queue tracking, response-time metrics logging, and historical reporting necessary for clinical governance.

Wearable Staff Pagers and Corridor Indicator Overdoor Lights

To support dynamic nursing workflows where staff are away from stationary consoles, the SB6-2XWH-S transmits call notifications directly to mobile staff receivers and localized visual beacons:

SOLT Wearable Watch Pagers: Directly triggers alert notifications to on-duty healthcare personnel equipped with SOLT SP5, SP7, or SP9 digital wrist pagers, providing immediate vibrating and visual ward identification.
SOLT SL6 Corridor Overdoor Indicator Lamps: Compatible with SL6 multi-colour corridor dome lights positioned outside washrooms or patient rooms to provide rapid visual confirmation of active emergency states.

Signal Extension and Structural Penetration

Washroom architecture frequently incorporates ceramic tiling, reinforced concrete partitions, and plumbing infrastructure that can cause RF attenuation. The SB6-2XWH-S is fully compatible with SOLT SR5-BPR RF signal repeaters. Integrating SR5-BPR repeaters eliminates signal dead zones, ensuring dependable transmission between the 2 x CR2032 (they are not included) lithium coin battery-powered transmitter (they are not included) and remote receiving stations across multi-floor healthcare layouts.

Mounting, Configuration, and Integration Guide for SOLT SB6-2XWH-S

Washroom Mounting Location and Positioning

The SOLT SB6-2XWH-S emergency pull-cord transmitter is engineered for vertical surface mounting on washroom, disabled toilet, and bathroom walls. Position the unit adjacent to the toilet fixture, bath, or shower stall at an ergonomic wall height that allows the 1.0-meter pull string to hang freely downward toward the floor. This placement ensures that a patient or resident who has slipped or fallen can easily access and pull the cord from floor level, fulfilling NABH and JCI emergency response standards for healthcare sanitary facilities.

Because the unit features a compact white slimline enclosure measuring 100 mm in length by 60 mm in width by 16.5 mm in depth and weighing approximately 50 grams, it mounts securely onto standard tiled, drywall, or composite washroom partitions. Its water-resistant casing provides vital protection against airborne humidity, moisture, and accidental water splashes common in hospital and assisted living wet zones.

Wireless RF Architecture and Infrastructure Planning

Unlike conventional wired emergency call buttons, the SB6-2XWH-S operates completely wirelessly, eliminating the requirement for complex conduit rough-ins, wall channelling, or hardwired signal cabling across washroom moisture barriers. The transmitter utilizes Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) low-power data transmission operating within the 400 MHz frequency band, supported by an internal built-in PCB antenna that provides omnidirectional 360-degree wireless propagation.

When planning facility-wide coverage, consider structural barriers such as dense reinforced concrete walls, heavy tile backing, or metallic plumbing chases that could attenuate RF signals. In facilities with extensive floor layouts or multi-floor hospital wards, deploy intermediate SOLT SR5-BPR wireless signal repeaters outside the washroom perimeter to boost transmission distance between the washroom transmitter and the central monitoring station.

Power Preparation and ID Registration

Before securing the casing permanently to the wall surface, install 2 x CR2032 lithium coin batteries (they are not included) into the internal battery holder with correct polarity. Once powered, configure the device within your wireless nurse call network:

Address Assignment: Assign one of the 16 million discrete bell ID codes to the unit to ensure distinct transmitter identification without signal collision or cross-talk between adjacent patient rooms.
Receiver Pairing: Register the transmitter's unique ID into the target SOLT master consoles, such as the SM3-32PN, SM3-33PC, SM3-61PC, or SM3-23PC nurse station displays.
Central PC Integration: If facility-wide logging is utilized, pair the bell ID into the SOLT SR5-MPR central monitoring receiver running the SOLT PC Manager software.
Peripheral Synchronization: Link the transmitter logic to illuminate corresponding SOLT SL6 corridor overdoor indicator lamps and dispatch instant text alerts to SOLT SP5, SP7, or SP9 wearable staff watch pagers.

Commissioning and Functional Verification

Execute a comprehensive commissioning test prior to handing over the installation to clinical staff. Pull the 1.0-meter emergency string to initiate a call; confirm that the high-brightness red LED on the face of the unit illuminates to deliver immediate visual confirmation to the patient. Verify that the alphanumeric console at the nurse desk registers the correct washroom location, the corridor overdoor light triggers, and mobile watch pagers vibrate.

Depress the front-facing cancel button on the SB6-2XWH-S transmitter to confirm that the call state clears across the central receiver, indicator lights, and staff pagers. Record the location ID and Indian Custom/HSN classification code 85176910 in facility asset maintenance logs for ongoing documentation.

Industrial & Healthcare Application Environments

Inpatient Hospital Wards and En-Suite Washrooms

In acute care hospitals, specialty clinics, and postoperative recovery wards, patient washrooms represent high-risk zones for slips, falls, and sudden medical distress. The SOLT SB6-2XWH-S is mounted vertically adjacent to toilet fixtures or walk-in showers to establish an immediate emergency signaling point. Its 1.0-meter pull string hangs downward toward the floor, ensuring that an incapacitated or fallen patient can trigger a distress signal without needing to stand up. Upon activation, the unit's high-brightness red LED illuminates to provide visual confirmation to the patient, while an omnidirectional 360-degree FSK RF signal (400 MHz band) transmits to ward nurse station consoles such as the SM3-32PN, SM3-33PC, or SM3-61PC numeric and alphanumeric receivers.

Accessible Commercial Restrooms and Public Facility Compliance

Commercial complexes, educational institutions, airports, and healthcare organizations seeking compliance with NABH and JCI emergency response infrastructure guidelines deploy the SB6-2XWH-S in accessible and disabled washrooms. The dual-function interface incorporates both an emergency call pull mechanism and a push-button cancel feature directly on the white slimline faceplate. When a facility user initiates a call, the system routes the alert to central facility monitoring software via the SOLT SR5-MPR receiver or alerts roaming maintenance personnel through SP5, SP7, or SP9 wearable watch pagers. Once staff arrive at the stall to resolve the event, the cancel button allows immediate on-site clearance, verifying that response personnel physically inspected the washroom.

Elderly Care and Assisted Living Facilities

Senior living communities, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers utilize the SB6-2XWH-S to support resident independence while maintaining rapid staff intervention capabilities. Because mobility-impaired residents often face difficulty exerting significant force, the 1.0-meter pull string mechanism provides smooth tactile initiation requiring minimal operational effort. Operating on 2 x CR2032 lithium coin batteries (they are not included), the transmitter requires no external low-voltage electrical feeds, allowing facility directors to position the units flexibly without cutting into finished walls or disturbing elderly residents with invasive construction.

Wet Zones and Partition Retrofits Without Electrical Conduit

Traditional hardwired emergency signaling systems in wet environments require expensive conduit routing, diamond coring through ceramic tiles, and external power supplies. The water-resistant casing of the SB6-2XWH-S protects internal PCB antenna circuits against splash exposure and high ambient humidity typical of hospital shower rooms and private patient latrines. Measuring 100 mm by 60 mm by 16.5 mm and weighing approximately 50 grams, this compact transmitter mounts directly to partition panels, fiberglass modules, or masonry. For multi-story wings or facilities with dense concrete construction, RF signal reach is easily bridged to central monitoring locations by pairing individual units with SOLT SR5-BPR signal repeaters and SL6 corridor overdoor indicator lamps, utilizing over 16 million discrete bell ID codes to prevent cross-channel interference.
