How does the dual call and cancel functionality operate on the SOLT SB5R-2XWH?

Answer:
The SB5R-2XWH integrates both call initiation and alert cancellation into a single white circular button interface. A standard press initiates the call alert, while a sustained long press of the button resets and cancels the alert directly at the bed or desk.

Unlike single-action transmitters that require separate call and cancel units, the SOLT SB5R-2XWH provides a dual-action interface in a single circular unit:

  • Call Initiation: A standard push by a patient, client, or attendant sends an instant call signal to linked receiver displays and pagers, confirmed by the top high-brightness LED indicator.
  • Bedside Cancellation: Attending nurses or staff can reset and acknowledge the call by performing a deliberate long press directly on the same button. This enforces bedside presence, ensuring alerts are only cleared once staff have attended the location.
  • Housing & Mounting: The unit features a durable white casing and is supplied complete with a dedicated mounting cover/bracket for secure installation on walls, headboards, or work surfaces.
