What housing materials and hazardous location ratings differentiate the Pelican 2460 StealthLite?

Answer:
The Pelican 2460 features an ABS body and shroud in High Visibility Yellow, an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, and an ethylene propylene O-ring gasket. It holds dual hazardous location certifications for Class I, Division 2 (Groups ABCD T4) and Class II, Division 2 environments.

The Pelican 2460 StealthLite is engineered for chemical-rich, harsh industrial workspaces. Its outer body housing and lens shroud are injection-molded from rugged, chemical-resistant ABS resin finished in High Visibility Yellow for quick visual identification. Critical sealing is achieved via an ethylene propylene O-ring gasket, protecting internal electronics from liquid and airborne contaminants, while the optical face utilizes a shatter-resistant polycarbonate (PC) lens.

Internal contact spring retainers are constructed from stainless steel and phosphor bronze for long-term corrosion resistance. Switching is operated via a heavy-duty, one-handed safety switch providing positive On and Off detents. For explosive or combustible industrial atmospheres, the unit is certified under Class I, Division 2 (Groups ABCD T4) and Class II, Division 2 safety standards.
