100V Line PA System Interoperability and Mechanical Integration

The Ahuja AMH-402T 2-way PA music horn speaker is engineered for seamless integration into standard 100V constant-voltage commercial and industrial public address (PA) distributed sound systems. Designed to operate across large-scale facility networks, the speaker incorporates a multi-tap line matching transformer that enables system designers and commercial AV integrators to distribute audio signals over long cable runs without significant signal loss or impedance drop.

100V Line Distributed Audio Architecture

The unit connects directly to 100V constant-voltage output lines driven by commercial PA power amplifiers and mixer amplifiers. The internal line transformer features stepped power tapping, allowing individual unit wattage configuration based on zone coverage requirements, ambient noise thresholds, and overall amplifier power budget allocation.

Electrical Wiring and Multi-Tap Termination

Power tap selection is handled via an integrated terminal strip utilizing standard 2-core speaker cable. Installers can rapidly select between 40W (250 Ω), 20W (500 Ω), 10W (1 kΩ), and 5W (2 kΩ) settings to balance acoustic output in distributed zones without requiring external impedance-matching accessories. This multi-impedance architecture ensures parallel connectivity of multiple AMH-402T units along the same 100V transmission bus line, provided total aggregated wattage remains within the rated capacity of the central PA amplifier.

Acoustic Architecture and Audio Signal Compatibility

Unlike standard single-cone voice horns, the AMH-402T employs a 2-way driver system comprising a 15.24 cm (6-inch) Kevlar cone low-frequency woofer paired with a 2.54 cm (1-inch) phenolic dome high-frequency tweeter. This dual-driver design supports an operating frequency response from 120 Hz to 16,000 Hz. The broad acoustic profile ensures compatibility with voice paging, emergency notifications, and full-range background or foreground music playback, delivering a sensitivity of 98 dB (1W/1m) and peak SPL of 114 dB (40W/1m).

Mounting Hardware and Environmental Suitability

The speaker is built with an integrated heavy-duty mounting bracket engineered for rigid mechanical installation on walls, structural pillars, ceilings, and industrial trusses. Its physical envelope measures W370 × H255 × D300 mm with an overall unit weight of 6.5 kg.

Constructed with a UV-protected ABS plastic housing certified to IP65 ingress protection under the EN 60529 standard, the AMH-402T is environmentally rated for both indoor and outdoor commercial deployments. It is suited for integration across transportation hubs such as railway stations, industrial manufacturing factories, stadiums, educational institutions, religious places, amusement parks, and marine environments including cruise liners.
