The Honeywell Xenon XP 1950g supports multi-interface modular connectivity at its base, interfacing directly with host platforms via USB (including USB HID Keyboard and USB Serial COM emulation), Keyboard Wedge, RS-232 serial, and RS485 systems supporting TGCS (IBM) 46XX protocols. The standard KT Automation package configuration includes the direct-attach USB communication and power cable for plug-and-play host integration.
Symbology compatibility covers all standard linear 1D barcodes, stacked PDF417, and high-density 2D matrix symbologies including QR Code, MicroQR, Data Matrix, and Aztec. It additionally supports Digimarc digital watermarking, DOT Code, postal codes, and optical character recognition (OCR) decoding. The hardware integrates seamlessly with Honeywell Operational Intelligence analytics software and the Honeywell Scanner Management Utility (SMU) for automated remote configuration and firmware deployment.
