The housing is certified to an IP52 ingress protection rating in accordance with IEC 60529, sealing internal electronics and optics against airborne particulate dust contamination and vertically falling liquid drops.
Mechanical impact specifications include demonstrated survivability across 50 drops to solid concrete from an elevation of 1.8 m (6 ft) across operating temperatures, as well as 2,000 consecutive tumbles in a 0.5 m (1.6 ft) rotating drum test. Operationally, the scanner functions in ambient illumination ranging from total darkness (0 lux) up to 100,000 lux (direct outdoor sunlight), with an operating temperature window of 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F) and relative humidity tolerance of 0% to 95% non-condensing.
