Physical Mounting and Chassis Positioning
The Hitune Bass HTZA-2000 is housed in a rugged metal tabletop and rack-compatible chassis measuring 500 mm in width, 140 mm in height, and 340 mm in depth. With an unboxed unit weight of 17.4 kg, mounting shelves, equipment racks, or control consoles must be structurally rated to support this continuous static load. Position the amplifier on a level, vibration-free surface with adequate clearance around the enclosure to permit unrestricted airflow convection across internal heatsinks.
AC Mains and 24V DC Power Connections
The HTZA-2000 supports dual-source electrical supply configurations to provide uninterrupted operation during primary power outages. Connect the standard AC mains cord to an appropriately rated, grounded electrical outlet. For emergency failover, connect a 24V DC battery power supply (they are not included) to the designated DC terminals on the rear chassis.
- Ensure correct polarity (+ and -) when wiring the 24V DC battery system (they are not included) to prevent power supply circuit damage.
- Verify the system earth grounding connection on the chassis before energizing the unit on AC line power.
- Total power rating across both channels is rated at 200W, delivering 100W RMS at 10% THD and up to 130W maximum output per zone.
Zone Speaker Wiring (Low-Impedance & High-Voltage Lines)
The unit features independent dual-zone output sections (Zone 1 and Zone 2), allowing separate level calibration for split architectural areas, such as indoor and outdoor zones or multi-room venues. Each zone provides separate terminal taps for direct low-impedance loudspeakers as well as distributed constant-voltage systems:
- Low-Impedance Direct Connection (4Ω / 8Ω): Connect passive low-impedance box speakers to the COM and matching 4-ohm or 8-ohm taps on the terminal strip. Total speaker load impedance per zone must match the chosen output tap and must never drop below the rated impedance.
- Distributed Constant-Voltage Lines (70V / 100V): For long-distance multi-speaker arrays, connect line-matching transformer (LMT) equipped speakers across the COM and either the 70V or 100V terminals. Sum the wattage tap ratings of all loudspeakers on each zone line to ensure the total cumulative load does not exceed 100W RMS per zone.
- Never mix low-impedance (4Ω/8Ω) and high-voltage (70V/100V) speaker connections simultaneously on the same zone terminal block.
Audio Input Termination and System Balancing
Integrate input audio equipment across the HTZA-2000 front and rear terminal interfaces according to the signal source impedance and voltage sensitivity:
- Microphone Channels: Connect up to 6 dynamic microphones across the dedicated Mic 1 through Mic 6 inputs, rated at 0.6mV sensitivity and 4.7kΩ input impedance.
- Auxiliary Inputs: Wire line-level playback devices, tuners, or background media players into the 2 Aux input ports, calibrated for 100mV sensitivity at 470kΩ input impedance.
- Stereo L/R Input: Connect stereo consumer or commercial media sources into the Stereo L/R input terminals, rated at 250mV sensitivity and 47kΩ impedance. The amplifier internally sums stereo signals to facilitate simultaneous mono operation across both loudspeaker zones.
Equalization and Initial Calibration
Once all input sources and loudspeaker lines are firmly terminated, power on the system and set the master and zone output controls to their minimum positions. Slowly advance individual channel gain controls while observing output clarity across the 50 Hz to 15,000 Hz (±3dB) operational bandwidth. Fine-tune acoustic performance using the integrated tone controls, adjusting Bass by up to ±10dB at 100Hz and Treble by up to ±10dB at 10kHz to correct for room acoustics and vocal intelligibility requirements.
