What protective and operational controls distinguish the Hitune Bass HSSA-350 mixing amplifier?

Answer:
The HSSA-350 features a Box Speaker/Driver Unit selector switch that defeats bass boost to protect horn drivers, a resettable circuit breaker against electrical overloads, and automatic transfer to 36V DC battery backup (they are not included) if AC power fails.

The Hitune Bass HSSA-350 includes specialized acoustic safety and circuit-protection architecture designed for critical plant and auditorium installations:

  • Box Speaker / Driver Unit Selector Switch: When powering high-efficiency compression horn units, toggling to the 'Driver Unit' setting defeats low-frequency bass boost. This cuts out excessive low-end excursion that causes diaphragm fatigue and burnout in horn drivers, while preserving full-frequency output when switched to 'Box Speaker' mode.
  • Resettable Circuit Breaker: The unit incorporates an integrated thermal-magnetic resettable circuit breaker instead of consumable glass fuses, defending internal output transistors against line shorts, impedance under-loads, and excessive thermal stress.
  • Dual AC and 36V DC Operation: Engineered for continuous uptime, the amplifier runs on standard 230V AC mains while simultaneously accepting a 36V DC auxiliary supply from an external battery bank (they are not included). In the event of mains power interruptions, the unit executes an instant cutover to battery operation without signal drop.
