Hitune Bass HSSA-350 Input, Speaker Load, and Power Interface Compatibility

The Hitune Bass HSSA-350 public address mixing amplifier (KT reference KTI14002001PAAH) provides structured connectivity for commercial sound distribution, multi-zone speech reinforcement, and industrial paging installations. Engineered with versatile low- and high-impedance terminal taps and multi-channel input stage matching, the amplifier integrates smoothly with dynamic microphones, peripheral line sources, distributed speaker lines, and dual electrical power configurations.

Loudspeaker Load and Transmission Line Compatibility

To match diverse acoustic environments, the amplifier output stage provides dedicated terminal connections for both low-impedance speaker enclosures and high-voltage distributed transmission lines. System designers can configure speaker arrays across the following parameters:

  • Low-Impedance Taps (4Ω and 8Ω): Designed for direct connection of box speakers, low-impedance cabinet enclosures, and monitor speaker arrays without matching transformers. Total load impedance must not drop below 4Ω to prevent triggering the built-in resettable circuit breaker.
  • Distributed Line Taps (70V and 100V): Engineered for multi-speaker distributed networks over long cabling distances. Compatible with ceiling speakers, wall-mounted column speakers, and industrial paging horns equipped with 70V or 100V line-matching transformers (LMT). Total combined speaker wattage tapped on the line must remain within the 350W RMS (450W Max) envelope.
  • Acoustic Output Mode Selection: An integrated Box Speaker / Driver Unit selector switch adapts frequency characteristics to the connected transducer type. Setting the switch to the Driver Unit mode defeats bass boost (±10dB at 100Hz) to prevent driver diaphragm rupture and distortion when powering compression horn drivers.

Audio Source and Channel Input Compatibility

The front-end mixing topology supports concurrent connection of speech and background music program sources through 10 dedicated inputs:

  • Microphone Inputs (7 Channels): Rated at 0.8mV sensitivity across a 4.7kΩ input impedance, matched for standard low-impedance dynamic announcement and paging microphones.
  • Auxiliary Input 1: Rated at 200mV sensitivity with a 470kΩ input impedance, compatible with playback units, CD players, and external media source devices.
  • Auxiliary Input 2: Rated at 100mV sensitivity with a 470kΩ input impedance, supporting lower-level external audio player connections.
  • Dedicated Line Input: Rated at 1V sensitivity across a 50kΩ impedance. This interface allows the HSSA-350 to accept balanced or unbalanced line outputs from external mixing consoles or function as a slave booster power amplifier driven from the pre-amp output of a primary public address system.

Power System Compatibility

The HSSA-350 features dual-supply operational compatibility designed to maintain continuous operation during utility outages. The amplifier operates on standard alternating current (AC) mains and includes rear-panel connections for a 36V DC battery (they are not included) power system. When connected simultaneously to AC mains and an external 36V DC battery bank (they are not included) or vehicle battery setup (they are not included), the internal circuit automatically executes an instant changeover to 36V DC supply in the event of AC mains failure, ensuring uninterrupted sound delivery.
