Perimeter Gate and Villa Entryway Management

The Hikvision DS-KIS602 modular IP intercom kit is engineered to secure entry perimeters for residential villas, private estates, and gated compounds requiring reliable visitor verification and gate automation. The DS-KD8003-IME1 door station mounts at perimeter boundary gates or primary entrances using the DS-KD-ACW1 surface mounting frame. Its 2 MP HD color fisheye camera delivers wide visual coverage across entrance thresholds, backed by IR supplemental lighting for target identification in low-illumination night conditions.

Using the door station's two integrated relay outputs (rated 30 VDC, 1 A), operators can actuate two independent access devices from the DS-KH6320-WTE1 indoor monitor or remotely via the Hik-Connect mobile application. This facilitates dual-lock entry control, where relay 1 manages a motorized vehicular slide or swing gate and relay 2 releases an electric strike or magnetic lock on an adjacent pedestrian turnstile or walk-through door.

Commercial Office Reception and Vestibule Control

In standalone commercial facilities, corporate branches, and administrative suites, the DS-KIS602 delivers secure door entry management over IP network infrastructure. Utilizing the included 4-port standard PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af/at compliant with a 35 W power budget and 6 kV surge protection), both the outdoor door station and the indoor touchscreen display receive operating power and high-speed data transmission over Cat5e or Cat6 network cabling. The door station's IP65 ingress protection and -40 °C to +60 °C operating temperature range maintain performance when deployed on fully exposed exterior walls.

When visitors depress the call button, bidirectional audio communication is established through omnidirectional microphones and built-in loudspeakers utilizing G.711u audio encoding at 64 Kbps. Hardware noise suppression and acoustic echo cancellation filter ambient street or traffic noise, ensuring intelligible voice verification before office reception personnel grant entryway release.

Modular Ingress Expansion for Multi-Tenant and Commercial Facilities

For corporate facilities requiring multi-credential authentication or phased access expansion, the DS-KD8003-IME1 acts as a base master unit that supports up to 8 sub-modules over an RS-485 interface. Facilities can expand the physical entry station by appending modular peripherals such as keypad units for PIN authorization, card reader modules for contactless access badges, indicator modules for call status feedback, or nametag directories for multi-tenant office configurations.

System administration is executed over TCP/IP, SIP, or RTSP via Hikvision iVMS-4200 video management software or the integrated web interface, enabling integration into broader facility IP networks. Security personnel can also view live streams from external Hikvision IP cameras directly on the indoor station's 7-inch capacitive touch screen (1024 x 600 resolution) running UI V2.0, allowing operators to cross-check secondary camera viewpoints before releasing locks.

Integrated Alarm and Security Sub-System Logging

The DS-KIS602 kit functions as an interactive monitoring console that extends beyond basic intercom communication by acting as an edge alarm aggregation node:

  • Indoor Station I/O Expansion: The DS-KH6320-WTE1 indoor monitor integrates 8 wired alarm inputs and 2 relay outputs, enabling direct hardwired connections to perimeter door contacts, emergency duress pushbuttons, or intrusion sensors.
  • Outdoor Tamper and I/O Protection: The DS-KD8003-IME1 includes 4 alarm inputs for local triggers alongside an integrated hardware tamper alarm switch that generates immediate alerts if the chassis is dislodged from the mounting surface.
  • Automated Event Logging: Unanswered visitor calls and alarm activations trigger automated snapshot capture and voice message storage directly to the supplied 16 GB TF card (expandable up to 32 GB) installed within the indoor station.
  • Flexible Network Topology: The indoor monitor supports both 10/100 Mbps wired RJ45 network connectivity and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, allowing deployment at reception desks, guard stations, or interior supervisory offices without running dedicated structured cabling to the display.
