Installation, Mounting & Configuration Guide for DS-KH6350-WTE1

Mounting Specifications and Environmental Parameters

The Hikvision DS-KH6350-WTE1 indoor station features a compact chassis measuring 175 mm (W) × 113.5 mm (H) × 21 mm (D) [6.9" × 4.5" × 0.83"] with an unpackaged unit weight of 355 g (0.8 lb). The device is rated strictly for indoor application environments. During installation planning, ensure the designated mounting location maintains an ambient operating temperature between -10 °C and 50 °C (14 °F to 122 °F) with relative operating humidity within 10% to 90% (non-condensing).

Installers can implement the indoor station using two structural deployment methods:

  • Wall Mounting: Surface-mounted directly to flat interior walls or standard flush-mounted electrical boxes using the standard wall-mounting bracket arrangement.
  • Table Mounting: Free-standing desktop or console placement using the optional dedicated Hikvision table mounting bracket (model DS-KABH6350-T).

Power Supply and Network Infrastructure Wiring

The indoor station supports dual power supply options, operating with a maximum overall power consumption of ≤ 5 W:

  • Power over Ethernet (PoE): Standard IEEE 802.3af PoE supplied over network data cabling directly through the RJ-45 port.
  • Direct Auxiliary DC Supply: 12 VDC, 1 A external power wired into the terminal block connections, compatible with optional Hikvision power supply adapters DS-KAW50-1 and DS-KAW50-1N.

Local area network integration is achieved via the single RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet port or the built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module complying with IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, and IEEE 802.11n standards. When integrating over wireless infrastructure, verify that wireless access points provide coverage across the 2.4 GHz frequency band, as 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks are not supported.

Terminal Wiring and Peripheral Integration

The rear terminal blocks provide termination points for physical security peripherals, access controls, and external signaling loops:

  • Lock Control Relays: Features 2 relay channels designed for door unlock activation. Both relays are rated for a maximum contact switching load of 30 VDC, 0.3 A. Loads exceeding this threshold require external interposing relays.
  • Alarm System I/O: Equipped with 8 hardwired alarm inputs to interface with intrusion detectors, emergency switches, or door sensors, alongside 2 alarm output channels for local notification devices or signaling the master management center.
  • Serial Interface: Provides 1 half-duplex RS-485 serial communication port for auxiliary system integration.
  • Local MicroSD / TF Storage: Includes an onboard TF card slot supporting memory capacities up to 128 GB. Installing a card provides local hardware storage for up to 200 captured still pictures, message recordings, and 200 alarm event records.

Touchscreen Commissioning and System Configuration

The DS-KH6350-WTE1 runs an Embedded Linux operating system backed by 32 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM. Commissioning does not require a local PC or external setup utilities; the complete video intercom installation is configured on-site directly using the 7-inch colorful TFT capacitive touch screen (1024 × 600 resolution) through its built-in configuration wizard.

The on-screen wizard guides engineers through the full commissioning workflow:

  • Network Parameters: Configure TCP/IP addressing, SIP server integration, and RTSP stream handling.
  • Intercom Capacity & Linking: Add and interlink up to 17 IP door stations (such as DS-KV6114-WBE1 or other compatible Hikvision IP doorphones) and expand the network with up to 16 linked indoor extension stations.
  • Surveillance & System Linkage: Add RTSP video streams from IP cameras positioned in public areas for real-time monitoring with hardware H.264 and H.265 video decoding, configure elevator access control parameters, and program automated voice messages for unanswered incoming calls.
  • Language & Cloud Linking: Select from 34 operating system languages (including English, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish) and complete mobile registration to the Hik-Connect application for remote call reception and door release.
