Installation and Hardware Deployment Guide

Mechanical Mounting and Spatial Positioning

The eSSL N-UltraFace (Silk Bio 101TC WIFI N UltraFace, SKU KTI01002003SNUF) features an outer enclosure measuring 225 mm (L) x 120 mm (H) x 100 mm (W). The device supports two distinct deployment configurations: rigid wall-mounted installation for standard perimeter entryways or stable tabletop placement for administrative desks and reception stations.

For wall-mount deployments, position the bracket at an ergonomic height that aligns the integrated facial recognition camera with the average eye level of passing personnel. The dual optical system is engineered with an ambient light tolerance of up to 60,000 LUX, enabling deployment in brightly lit reception areas, perimeter gates, and entry vestibules subject to ambient glare. Maintain an unobstructed target zone between 0.5 meters and 1.0 meter directly in front of the 2.8-inch TFT screen to allow optimal 1-meter long-distance facial capture and verification within 1 second. Ensure ambient operating conditions remain within the rated range of 0°C to 50°C.

Power Supply Wiring Specifications

The N-UltraFace requires a dedicated, regulated power source supplying 12V DC at a minimum current rating of 2A. Terminal connections must be cleanly terminated at the rear interface block. Maintaining stable 12V DC / 2A power delivery is critical; transient voltage drops or poorly regulated supplies can cause sudden terminal reboots or erratic lock relay switching during peak multi-modal authentication loads.

Access Control and Peripheral Relay Wiring

To integrate physical barrier automation, route the onboard relay output to the respective door hardware, such as electromagnetic locks, electric drop bolts, motorized boom barriers, or entrance turnstiles. The onboard relay switches door hardware signals directly upon successful facial, fingerprint (30,000 capacity), RFID card (125 kHz EM standard), or password validation.

For bidirectional door control or centralized security networks, utilize the onboard Wiegand input and output ports. The Wiegand input port interfaces directly with an external slave reader (such as a 125 kHz EM reader like the KR26E) for secure exit tracking. Conversely, the Wiegand output port transmits user credential data to a secondary access controller or legacy multi-door security panel.

Network Configuration and Push Data Setup

The terminal provides multiple networking pathways to support high-throughput audit logging (up to 200,000 transaction records) and centralized user management (up to 3,000 users and 3,000 facial templates):

  • Wired Ethernet (TCP/IP): Terminate a standard RJ45 network cable into the rear Ethernet port for high-reliability connection to the local area network.
  • Integrated Wi-Fi: Connect the terminal wirelessly via the 2.8-inch TFT screen menu to the local network infrastructure, eliminating the requirement for network cable drops in architectural installations.
  • Push Data Configuration: Configure the server IP address, domain name, and target communication port in the network menu to enable real-time Push Data synchronization. This protocol instantly streams access logs and biometric records directly to cloud or on-premise attendance software platforms.
