Hardware, Network, and System Compatibility: eSSL N-UltraFace

The eSSL N-UltraFace (SKU: KTI01002003SNUF) multi-modal biometric access control and time-attendance terminal is engineered for seamless architectural deployment across legacy and modern facility management ecosystems. Built around a 1.0 GHz processing core, the terminal supports standard hardware, credential, and communication protocols to interface with existing access hardware, secondary readers, security panels, and centralized enterprise IT infrastructures.

RFID and Physical Credential Compatibility

The internal RF identification subsystem supports 125 kHz EM proximity RFID cards and credentials, providing hardware-level compatibility with widespread commercial proximity card standards. The unit holds up to 3,000 RFID card records alongside its 3,000 user capacity. In multi-factor environments, these credentials function interchangeably or concurrently with the optical 500 DPI fingerprint module (storing up to 30,000 templates with support for dry, moist, rough, and ink-stained skin surfaces) and the 3,000-template high-speed facial recognition optical engine.

Physical Access Control and Relay Interfacing

For perimeter and portal security installations, the terminal incorporates an onboard lock relay output that directly switches control lines for third-party electronic locking mechanisms and automated perimeter barriers. Field compatibility encompasses:

  • Electromagnetic locks (EM locks) and shear locks installed on interior and exterior doors
  • Electric strike plates and motorized drop bolts
  • Industrial tripod turnstiles, optical flap barriers, and motorized swing gates
  • External slave readers, such as KR26E exit devices, wired via onboard Wiegand input ports
  • Third-party access control units (ACUs) and master panels via Wiegand output signaling

Network Protocols and Enterprise Software Integration

The N-UltraFace integrates native communication interfaces compliant with standardized IP networks. Installers can link the terminal via hardwired IEEE 802.3 TCP/IP Ethernet (RJ45), 2.4 GHz wireless Wi-Fi (802.11), or local USB interfaces for offline maintenance and transaction log extraction. The device features integrated real-time Push Data protocol capability, allowing immediate event transmission to remote listening endpoints across LANs, WANs, and cloud-hosted payroll or enterprise HRMS software platforms.
