FAQ

Which safety sensors and access control interfaces are supported by the eSSL BG100 boom barrier?

Answer:
The BG100 accepts standard dry contact inputs and provides dedicated terminal interfaces for photocells, pneumatic air switches, inductive loop detectors, and external signal lamps. It integrates with standalone access controllers, Wiegand RFID readers, biometric systems, and RF remote controls (operational up to 25 meters; batteries are not included).

The eSSL BG100 controller board is engineered for integration into parking management and perimeter access systems via dry contact signalling. Native input and output connections include:

  • Safety Sensor Terminals: Direct input interfaces for infrared safety photocells, pneumatic air switches (safety edge), and inductive ground loop detectors to prevent accidental closure on vehicles.
  • Signalling Output: Dedicated output interface for an external warning or traffic indicator lamp.
  • Access Control Compatibility: Seamlessly interfaces with centralized barrier management panels, standalone access controllers, long-range UHF RFID readers, and biometric access terminals.
  • Manual & Local Testing: Integrated internal control panel features 3 onboard push buttons (STOP, UP, DOWN) for site commissioning. It also supports remote wireless operation up to 25 meters using batteries (they are not included), as well as a mechanical manual release for operation during electrical outages.
