System Integration and Control Interface Compatibility

The eSSL BG100 boom barrier with fencing arm is engineered for integration into automated parking management systems, perimeter security installations, and vehicular checkpoints across industrial gates, corporate facilities, toll plazas, and residential communities. System communication is handled primarily through standard dry contact input control signals, enabling clean interoperability with third-party automation controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and security networks without complex protocol converters.

Access Control and Terminal Integration

The internal control architecture of the BG100 natively interfaces with automated access peripherals. The barrier accepts dry contact trigger inputs from:

  • Access Control Panels: Multi-door and centralized security controllers routing open, close, and hold commands via relay outputs.
  • Standalone Access Controllers: Independent gate entry units managing localized relay contacts.
  • Reader Interfaces: Wiegand protocol readers and long-range or short-range RFID readers deployed for contactless vehicle access.
  • Biometric Terminals: Biometric authentication terminals providing pulse-triggered contact closure for driver identity verification.
  • External Push-Button Consoles: Manual gatekeeper control stations interfacing via dedicated dry contact wiring alongside the cabinet's internal 3-push-button (STOP/UP/DOWN) interface.

Safety Sensors and Vehicle Detection Interfaces

To coordinate vehicular safety along the 5-meter aluminium fencing arm path, the BG100 provides dedicated onboard input interfaces for external safety devices:

  • Inductive Loop Detectors: Terminal provisions allow direct integration with single- or dual-channel ground loop detectors for presence detection, tailgating prevention, and vehicle safety interlocks.
  • Photocell Safety Beams: Integrated input points accommodate active infrared photocell pairs to monitor the crossing area and trigger arm reversal or open-hold cycles.
  • Air Switch (Pneumatic Edge Sensors): Factory interfaces allow connection to pneumatic safety edge mechanisms along the arm to detect physical impact in tandem with the built-in bouncing bounce-back obstruction system.

Signaling Outputs and Auxiliary Integration

The control board incorporates dedicated output interfaces to drive peripheral indicators:

  • Traffic and Alarm Lamps: Direct output terminals support external signal lamps and traffic alert lighting to signal barrier transit state during the 6-second operating stroke.
  • Configurable Auto-Closing Circuitry: Onboard logic permits auto-closing timing adjustments between 1 and 80 seconds once loop detector or photocell clearance signals confirm a clear transit lane.
  • Double Limit Switches: Mechanical-electrical dual limit switches provide precise travel feedback for full open and full close alignments.

Manual and Remote Control Interfacing

For operations during installation, routine maintenance, or grid outages, the BG100 includes a manual mechanical release mechanism to disengage the 90W AC drive motor. Wireless gate command is supported by a factory remote control interface operating over a transmission distance of up to 25 meters; handheld transmitters require standard cells (they are not included). Line power compatibility is governed by an integrated switched-mode power supply (SMPS) supporting AC 110V/220V (50Hz/60Hz) inputs to power the internal 220V AC drive assembly.
