FAQ

What biometric algorithm and multi-verification modes are integrated into the eSSL AiFace-Neptune?

Answer:
The terminal runs the proprietary LiveFace V3.5 biometric algorithm on an embedded Linux platform, delivering facial matching in 1 second or less (≤1s). It supports flexible multi-factor authentication combining Face, Password, and optional RFID cards, backed by anti-spoofing defense against photo prints, video replays, and 3D mask presentations.

The eSSL AiFace-Neptune differentiates itself from legacy biometric readers by utilizing Visible Light facial recognition driven by the LiveFace V3.5 algorithm and a 1MP binocular sensor array.

Key algorithmic and functional attributes include:

  • Recognition Speed: Rapid facial verification in ≤1 second under standard ambient lighting conditions.
  • Anti-Spoofing Architecture: Hardware and algorithmic defenses specifically designed to detect and reject fraudulent attempts, including laser, color, and black-and-white photo print attacks, high-definition video playback attacks, and physical 3D mask attacks.
  • Verification Methods: Supports flexible authentication configurations such as Face, PIN/Password, and Card (via optional 125KHz EM ID or 13.56MHz IC modules).
  • Firmware Functions: Includes built-in support for Work Code, Daylight Saving Time (DST), Self-service Query, Automatic Status Switch, T9 Input, 9-digit User ID management, and scheduled internal bell ringing.
