Hardware, Software, and Network Compatibility for BioMax N-F22

The BioMax N-F22 Visible Light terminal is engineered for cross-platform integration within enterprise physical security and workforce time-attendance systems. Operating on a Linux-based embedded operating system, the terminal features standardized hardware interfaces, dual-frequency RFID card compatibility, and flexible network connectivity options to support both standalone door installations and enterprise-scale network deployments.

Access Control Hardware & Exit Peripheral Compatibility

The unit includes dedicated onboard access control interfaces, featuring an integrated relay output, auxiliary input, and industry-standard Wiegand In and Wiegand Out communication ports. This interface architecture allows seamless interoperation with standard security hardware without requiring intermediate interface modules:

  • Locking Mechanisms: Onboard relay output interfaces with 12V DC electronic door hardware, including fail-safe systems (electromagnetic EM locks) and fail-secure mechanisms (drop bolts and electronic door strikes).
  • External Slave Readers: Supports bidirectional Wiegand protocol integration, enabling connectivity with the BioMax N-FR12 exit slave reader as well as standard third-party Wiegand proximity or smart card readers.
  • Egress and Signaling Devices: Dedicated auxiliary wiring terminals accept inputs from standard push-to-exit buttons, touchless infrared exit sensors, and external door bells.
  • Security Configurations: Supports anti-passback rules across master-slave reader pairings to enforce strict physical entry-exit validation.

RFID Credential Standards & Verification Modes

The embedded RFID reader module is designed to interface with multiple credential formats, supporting an internal card storage capacity of up to 1,500 cards. The system offers direct compatibility with the following RFID standards:

  • 125 kHz Proximity: Reads standard 125 kHz EM frequency cards and key fobs.
  • 13.56 MHz Smart Cards: Compatible with 13.56 MHz Mifare contactless smart cards.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication: Operates seamlessly across hybrid identity combinations, pairing RFID card validation with visible light facial recognition (1,500 templates), palm recognition (500 templates), 500 DPI optical fingerprint capture (5,000 templates), and capacitive feather-touch keypad password entry.

Software Platform & Real-Time Data Push Compatibility

The terminal features an automated Real-time Push Data engine that transmits clocking records (up to 200,000 transaction logs) and user verification data instantly to host management platforms. It is natively compatible with:

  • Biomax Desktop Software: Local LAN-based workforce attendance and access management suites.
  • Biomax Web Software: Centralized browser-accessible multi-branch attendance and access control platforms.
  • Biomax Cloud Solutions: Scalable cloud-hosted time-tracking infrastructures.
  • Mobile Application: Synchronizes with the official BioMax mobile platform for administrative oversight.
