Integrating the Ahuja AWM-495V1 single-channel VHF wireless microphone system into an industrial, commercial, or institutional public address (PA) infrastructure requires straightforward physical positioning, DC power interfacing, and audio cabling to standard amplification equipment. The system operates on a pre-matched quartz crystal locked VHF high-band frequency to deliver stable RF transmission for conference halls, auditoriums, seminar rooms, houses of worship, and educational facilities.

System Placement and Antenna Configuration

Position the Ahuja AWM-495V1 receiver unit (dimensions: W230 mm x H42 mm x D150 mm; weight: 305 g) on a stable, level surface near the host PA mixer amplifier or booster amplifier. Avoid placing the receiver inside fully enclosed metal racks or directly beneath large electromagnetic interference sources to maintain clean VHF reception.

Extend the rear-mounted telescopic antenna fully in a vertical orientation. Maintaining line-of-sight between the receiver's telescopic antenna and the transmitter's internal dipole antenna ensures clear, distortion-free wireless transmission up to the maximum operational VHF range.

Receiver Power Interfacing and Audio Connectivity

Follow these steps to establish electrical and signal connections on the receiver unit:

  • DC Power Connection: Connect the barrel plug of the included external 12V DC power adapter into the DC input socket on the rear panel of the receiver. Plug the adapter into a standard 220–240V AC mains wall outlet.
  • Audio Output Routing: Insert a standard 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) unbalanced phone jack patch cable into the 0–55 mV / 1 kΩ audio output socket located on the receiver's rear panel.
  • Amplifier Input Interfacing: Connect the opposite end of the 6.3 mm audio cable directly into the balanced or unbalanced microphone/auxiliary input channel of your Ahuja or third-party PA mixer amplifier, power booster, or active speaker system.

Handheld Transmitter Battery Installation

The AWM-495V1 handheld dynamic cardioid microphone (dimensions: Ø55 mm x L248 mm; weight: 180 g without battery) requires 3V DC power with current consumption equal to or below 100 mA.

  • Unscrew and remove the battery compartment cover at the base of the handheld microphone transmitter.
  • Insert 2 x 1.5V AA pencil cells (they are not included) into the battery slot, observing correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity markings.
  • Securely slide and screw the battery cover back onto the handheld body. When cells required (they are not included) become depleted over extended operating cycles, replace them promptly to avoid RF dropouts or reduced transmission range.

System Commissioning and Calibration

Once all power and audio connections are securely seated, commission the wireless link using the following sequence:

Turn on the receiver using the front panel power switch. The dedicated red LED power indicator will illuminate. Slide the 2-position power switch on the handheld transmitter to the 'ON' position; the green LED indicator on the microphone handle will light up.

Verify that the green RF signal indicator LED on the receiver front panel illuminates, confirming successful quartz-locked VHF carrier synchronization between the transmitter and receiver. Speak into the cardioid capsule at normal operating levels while adjusting the receiver front-panel volume control knob and the host amplifier's master/channel input gain to achieve clear, unclipped audio reproduction across the sound system.
