Target Deployment Applications for Ador Indus Radar Speed Signs

The Ador Indus Traffic Control Device (KT Automation reference KTI04015002SINDUS) is an industrial-grade Vehicle Activated Speed Sign (VASS) engineered for speed compliance monitoring, proactive traffic calming, and automated bidirectional traffic intelligence. Operating on a standard 230V AC city power feed with an average power draw under 150W, the unit combines a 24GHz ISM/K-Band Doppler radar with high-visibility dynamic LED matrices to handle critical road safety and perimeter control environments.

Municipal Arterials and Urban Transition Zones

Municipal roadways, school zones, and suburban arterials require prompt visual intervention to control incoming traffic speeds. Utilizing an integrated dual-direction Doppler radar with an operational detection range of 250 meters, the Ador Indus identifies vehicles traveling between 5 km/h and 199 km/h with 99% accuracy (within ±2 km/h). The 16-inch 7-segment speed digit—composed of ultra-bright, 3-row thick tri-color LEDs (Amber, Green, Red)—provides optical legibility beyond 300 meters.

Drivers approaching above established speed limits receive dynamic visual reinforcement via the speed digits and a 1.37-inch customizable legend displaying 'YOUR SPEED', accompanied by 1- or 2-line programmable text alerts configured via drag-and-draw software. Standard pole mounting bracket kits facilitate integration onto municipal posts and overhead roadway gantries (pole and pole fixing are in client scope).

Industrial Campuses, Logistics Hubs, and Port Facilities

Heavy vehicle corridors in manufacturing complexes, bulk cargo terminals, and logistics distribution yards require strict speed limit compliance to prevent collisions between heavy commercial vehicles, forklifts, and pedestrian staff. Constructed from noncorrosive metals with a curved polycarbonate front face and sealed to an IP65 ingress rating, the Ador Indus withstands harsh, dust-laden, and moisture-rich industrial conditions. The protective Graphite Gray RAL7024 finish ensures high weather resistance across exterior facility gates and internal perimeter roads.

Facility safety teams can configure specific operational speed thresholds (Minimum, Speed Limit, and Maximum) using the Indus Web App. If a commercial truck breaches predefined thresholds, the system can trigger external warning devices via its built-in siren integration interface to immediately alert nearby ground workers.

Multi-Site Bidirectional Traffic Data Logging

For smart infrastructure planners and industrial park managers, speed management requires long-term traffic trend analysis. The Ador Indus delivers 99% accurate data logging across bidirectional lanes, capturing vehicle counts, time stamps, average speeds, and peak speed records. The hardware features internal memory storage accommodating up to 1,000,000 vehicle logs.

  • Local Diagnostics & Configuration: Field technicians access live traffic data graphing, operational logs, and threshold settings through onboard Mini B-Type USB and LAN connections via the Indus Web App.
  • Enterprise Cloud Telematics: Multi-site facilities can utilize optional GSM connectivity alongside the Indus Cloud App to aggregate data across remote gate crossings, extracting detailed charts and compliance reports.

Temporary Roadwork and Mobile Deployment

Beyond fixed gantry and pole mounting, the mechanical chassis measuring 29 inches (H) x 29 inches (W) x 10 inches (D) with a net weight of 26 kg without batteries (they are not included) allows integration onto portable safety trailers and dollies. The internal hardware architecture includes an internal battery enclosure engineered to hold up to 2 batteries (they are not included) to accommodate temporary battery (they are not included) or solar configurations where 230V AC city power infrastructure is unavailable.
