System Compatibility, Power Options, and Network Integration

The Ador Indus Vehicle Activated Speed Sign (KT Automation model KTI04015002SINDUS) is engineered to interface directly into industrial facility roadways, municipal traffic corridors, highway infrastructure, and automated traffic calming networks. Its unified hardware and firmware architecture allows seamless deployment across stationary poles, structural gantries, and mobile speed-enforcement trailers.

Mounting and Structural Infrastructure Compatibility

The Ador Indus features an adaptable physical chassis designed for three primary field mounting configurations:

  • Pole Mounting: Standard pole mounting bracket kits are included directly with the unit for rapid attachment. Structural poles, foundation work, and pole-securing hardware remain in client scope to accommodate localized site engineering requirements.
  • Gantry Installations: The noncorrosive metal housing (29" H × 29" W × 10" D, weighing 26 kg without batteries (they are not included)) is fully compatible with overhead road gantries, providing clear line-of-sight across active travel lanes.
  • Trailer and Dolly Deployments: The chassis structure natively supports mounting on mobile enforcement trailers or portable dollies for temporary work-zone monitoring and dynamic speed enforcement campaigns.

Power Infrastructure and Supply Compatibility

The system is factory-engineered to support multi-mode power inputs, allowing deployment in grid-tied urban environments as well as remote arterial highways lacking continuous grid access:

  • 230V AC Mains Operation: Designed for standard 230V AC city power or roadway lighting electrical circuits, operating with an energy-efficient average power consumption of less than 150W.
  • Solar and Auxiliary Power Integration: The internal electrical bus is fully compatible with solar array configurations and battery (they are not included) power systems.
  • Dual Internal Battery Enclosure: The IP65-rated enclosure integrates a dedicated internal compartment with the capacity to hold up to 2 batteries (they are not included) for continuous off-grid uptime or backup operation during power interruptions.

Hardware Communication and External Device Interfaces

Physical communication interfaces permit both direct on-site field maintenance and extended integration into broader industrial automation or traffic management systems:

  • Mini B-Type USB: Dedicated onboard port for direct technician connection, parameter configuration, firmware management, and diagnostic retrieval.
  • Local Area Network (LAN): Integrated wired Ethernet interface enabling high-speed local data transfer, SCADA/security subnet connection, or fixed edge computing integration.
  • Cellular Wireless (Optional GSM): Supports an optional GSM cellular interface for automated wireless data telemetry to remote operations teams without requiring trenching or hardwired network drops.
  • External Integration Interface: Equipped with an external output interface designed to drive an optional auxiliary external siren when vehicle speeds breach designated safety thresholds.

Software Ecosystem and Data Compatibility

The Ador Indus traffic control device interfaces with two tiered software management environments:

  • Indus Web App: Operates at the local sign level to program speed thresholds (Minimum Speed, Speed Limit, Maximum Speed), review configuration logs, monitor live traffic data graphing, and design custom 1- or 2-line text and drag-and-draw graphic messaging on the tri-color LED matrix.
  • Indus Cloud App: Centralized multi-site traffic analysis application built to aggregate metrics across wide geographical networks. It processes bidirectional traffic data collected by the 24GHz ISM / K-Band radar, tracking vehicle counts, average speeds, and peak speeds, with local onboard non-volatile memory storing up to 1,000,000 vehicle records for automated chart generation and tabular report extraction.
