Industrial, Highway, and Municipal Applications for Ador INDUS Dolly-Mounted VASS

The Ador INDUS Dolly Mounted Vehicle Activated Speed Sign (VASS) provides portable, radar-assisted speed measurement and dynamic driver feedback across industrial facilities, civil construction corridors, and municipal road infrastructure. Engineered with a dual-direction 24GHz ISM-band / K-band Doppler radar offering a 250-meter detection range and an IP65-rated non-corrosive metal housing in Graphite Gray RAL 7024, the mobile platform acts as an active speed deterrence mechanism without requiring dedicated patrol personnel.

Industrial Plants and Logistics Hub Roadways

Internal roadways within large-scale industrial complexes, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants require strict vehicle speed compliance to protect on-foot personnel, forklifts, and heavy transport machinery. The Ador INDUS sign monitors plant traffic moving between 5 km/h and 199 km/h with 99% accuracy (±2 km/h). As transport trucks or utility vehicles approach, the unit displays real-time speed on 16-inch 7-segment display digits beneath a 1.26-foot Highway-Gothic 'YOUR SPEED' legend. Ultra-bright 3-row thick tri-color LEDs (Amber, Green, and Red) with a 30-degree cone angle and auto-dimming function ensure clear legibility up to 1,000+ feet (300+ meters), even in direct sunlight. Facilities can also utilize the external integration port to trigger an audible siren when heavy transport vehicles exceed designated yard speed limits.

Highway Work Zones and Temporary Diversions

Road maintenance operations, highway lane closures, and infrastructure diversions present high-risk conditions where rapid traffic calming is essential. Mounted on a mobile dolly trailer, the sign can be rapidly repositioned along project corridors as work zones advance, while also offering mounting versatility for poles or gantries if fixed positioning is later required. With an average power draw under 150W, the unit operates efficiently off-grid when paired with its solar panel system and internal enclosure configured to house up to 2 batteries (they are not included). An internal miniature circuit breaker (MCB) protects the unit's electrical systems during mobile transit and power transitions.

Municipal Traffic Calming and School Corridors

Urban traffic authorities and municipal planners deploy the dolly-mounted sign along high-complaint suburban corridors, transition zones, and school approaches. Dual-direction Doppler radar capability allows selective monitoring of traffic dynamics. Operators can connect via Mini B-type USB, LAN, or optional GSM to sync the sign with the INDUS Cloud App and INDUS Web App. These centralized platforms allow transportation departments to aggregate traffic data, analyze average and maximum vehicle speeds, evaluate estimated vehicle counts, and document compliance trends across multi-site installations.
