Mounting and Physical Infrastructure Compatibility
The Ador INDUS Vehicle Activated Speed Sign (VASS) is designed for versatile structural deployment across industrial, municipal, and temporary traffic setups. Configured natively for mobile trailer and dolly operations, the system enables flexible relocation across active construction diversions, industrial logistics corridors, and temporary speed-enforcement checkpoints. In addition to dolly transport configurations, the standardized 29-inch H x 29-inch W x 10-inch D non-corrosive metal housing is fully compatible with structural gantry mountings and vertical pole fixtures.
With a net dry weight of 26 kg without batteries (they are not included), the sign can be securely bolted to overhead gantries or roadside poles using standard mounting brackets without exceeding load thresholds. The curved anti-UV polycarbonate front face and IP65-rated weather-resistant housing maintain mechanical stability and ingress protection across mobile and static mounting positions.
Power Supply and Off-Grid Architecture Compatibility
The INDUS VASS provides dynamic power compatibility suited for continuous, uninterrupted roadside operation across grid-connected and remote locations:
- AC Grid Power Compatibility: Designed for standard 230V AC industrial and utility power supplies for fixed roadside installations.
- Solar Power System Compatibility: Fully compatible with solar panel installations to provide autonomous daytime operation and sustainable renewable power generation.
- DC Battery Power Systems: Features an integrated internal battery (they are not included) enclosure with physical and electrical capacity to house up to 2 batteries (they are not included) for continuous, off-grid energy storage.
- Circuit Protection: Equipped with an internal miniature circuit breaker (MCB) engineered to protect against electrical faults, line spikes, and overload conditions across power inputs.
- Low Power Profile: Optimized with an ultra-low power consumption design that maintains an average power draw below 150W during full visual illumination.
Data Communication and Telemetry Interfaces
To support localized field adjustments and centralized municipal or facility network monitoring, the unit supports three distinct physical and wireless communications pathways:
- Mini B-Type USB: Dedicated onboard port for direct physical connection to field service computers for initial parameter setup, local calibration, and diagnostics.
- LAN Interface: Local Area Network interface allowing hardwired RJ45 Ethernet integration into on-site industrial SCADA architectures, perimeter security networks, or roadside junction cabinets.
- GSM Module (Optional): Cellular data interface facilitating remote telemetry, wireless diagnostic uploads, and cellular-based parameter adjustments across distributed highway stretches without fixed network lines.
Centralized Management Software and External Alert Peripherals
The internal 24GHz ISM-band / K-band dual-direction Doppler radar (operating across a 250-meter range from 5 to 199 km/h) integrates natively with intelligent traffic monitoring platforms and supplemental audible warning systems:
Software Platform Interoperability: The system connects directly with both the INDUS Cloud App and INDUS Web App. These centralized platforms facilitate multi-site management, tracking estimated vehicle counts, logging maximum and average vehicle speeds, and generating automated speed limit compliance reports across all networked devices.
External Siren Integration: The internal controller features expansion integration for an external siren, allowing high-risk work zones or plant facilities to trigger immediate audible alarms when moving vehicles exceed preset site speed limits.
