Industrial & Enterprise Applications for Ador Indus CAM

The Ador Indus CAM (catalogued under reference KTI04015001INSC) is an integrated vehicle-activated speed sign (VASS) engineered specifically for high-risk vehicular environments, commercial facilities, and private road networks. Combining a 24 GHz ISM/K-band dual-direction radar, high-visibility tri-color LED matrix, and an automated 2 MP infrared ANPR camera, this system detects, alerts, and logs vehicular traffic in real time to enforce internal site safety protocols.

Corporate Campuses and Industrial Manufacturing Plants

Manufacturing complexes, refineries, chemical plants, and sprawling technology campuses host mixed traffic consisting of employee passenger vehicles, contractor buses, and heavy utility transport. Speeding along internal campus roads poses a major hazard to pedestrians, plant infrastructure, and material-handling routes.

Installed on facility thoroughfares, the Indus CAM radar tracks incoming vehicles up to 250 meters away across speeds from 5 km/h to 199 km/h with ±2 km/h accuracy. The unit immediately reflects driver speed across a 16-inch 7-segment display legible from over 300 meters. The 3-row thick tri-color LEDs (amber, green, and red) display live speeds alongside customizable 1- or 2-line visual warnings configured via the Indus Web App to instantly correct driver behavior before vehicles reach pedestrian crossings or loading bays.

Heavy Logistics Corridors and Multi-Lane Plant Arteries

In freight yards, inland container depots, and high-throughput warehouse perimeters, vehicle over-speeding drastically increases collision risks with forklifts, dock equipment, and ground personnel. The Indus CAM handles heavy industrial traffic across wide multi-lane entryways and arterial access routes:

  • Optical Lane Coverage: The integrated 2 MP auto-focus camera monitors 1 to 3 lanes simultaneously, ensuring vehicles changing lanes or passing in transit are captured accurately.
  • High-Speed Forensic ANPR: Running at 1920x1080 @ 50 fps with maximum resolution up to 1440P (2560 x 1140), the camera captures high-definition night and day license plate imagery regardless of ambient lighting.
  • Direct Audible Warnings: For plants requiring urgent alerts near critical intersections, the system supports optional external siren integration triggered by customizable maximum speed thresholds.

Gated Townships and Institutional Road Networks

Residential townships, educational universities, and healthcare enclaves require continuous speed abatement without creating disruptive physical bottlenecks like severe speed bumps. Deploying the Indus CAM at long straightaways calms traffic while passively collecting operational data.

The system's IP65-rated noncorrosive metal housing, curved polycarbonate front face, and Graphite Gray RAL 7024 finish provide reliable 24/7 all-weather operation. The enclosure incorporates an internal battery compartment accommodating up to 2 batteries (they are not included), supplementing 230V AC mains installations to ensure uninterrupted monitoring during site power maintenance.

Evidence-Backed Gatehouse Enforcement and Fleet Auditing

Traditional radar signs lack accountability, but the Indus CAM pairs physical speed displays with indisputable violation records. When an over-speed event violates pre-programmed thresholds (minimum, speed limit, and maximum):

  • Violation Dossiers: The camera records a comprehensive 4-image violation solution documenting the vehicle image, license plate number, measured speed, posted speed limit, timestamp, and location.
  • Centralized Ingestion: Data transmits over local Ethernet LAN, USB, or optional GSM cellular modems to the gatehouse computer or the Indus Cloud App platform, which supports multi-site management and up to 2 million records with 3-month violation image retention.
  • Security Gate Control: Gate security teams receive automated violation logs, allowing industrial security managers to issue internal gate passes, penalize recurring commercial fleet violations, or restrict access to reckless drivers before they exit the premises.
