FAQ

How does the 3M 1110 differ from the 3M 1100 earplug model?

Answer:
Both models share identical polyurethane foam tips and a 35 dB SNR / 29 dB NRR rating; the 1110 includes a polyester neck cord to prevent loss, whereas the 1100 is uncorded.

The 3M 1100 series consists of two primary models sharing identical acoustic performance and foam formulations:

  • 3M 1110: Corded configuration featuring an integrated red polyester cord connecting the two plugs. Ideal for operations where personnel frequently move between noise zones and need to drape the earplugs around their neck to prevent loss or surface contamination.
  • 3M 1100: Uncorded version designed for standalone use or bulk dispenser loading via the 3M E-A-R One-Touch Pro dispenser.

Both models provide identical acoustic protection (SNR 35 dB / NRR 29 dB) and compatibility with the 3M E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation System.
