System Integration and Network Compatibility

Network Architecture and Protocol Integration

The ZKTeco ZK-X6040-A single-energy X-ray baggage inspection system is engineered for seamless deployment within centralized facility security networks. The unit incorporates a dedicated RJ45 Ethernet communication interface operating over standard TCP/IP networking protocols. This connectivity allows system administrators and security managers to integrate the scanner into local area networks (LANs) for remote monitoring, diagnostic oversight, and centralized data synchronization.

Native software compatibility is established with the ZKBio SIS security inspection software platform. Through this centralized management application, operators can manage screening workflow logs, configure security access profiles, and manage the device's image archive of up to 10,000 scanned inspection records across the corporate or institutional network.

Checkpoint Device and Multi-Sensor Integration

Designed to serve as the visual inspection core of integrated security access checkpoints, the ZK-X6040-A supports coordinated multi-device screening. The system architecture enables simultaneous display of cluttered baggage X-ray inspection images alongside the real-time detection status of connected walk-through metal detectors (WTMD). This synchronized multi-sensor monitoring workflow enhances operator threat verification without requiring separate, uncoordinated screening terminals.

Workstation and Hardware Peripheral Interfacing

The scanner features a dedicated onboard computing terminal built on an Intel Core i3-4100 processor, 4 GB onboard RAM, and 128 GB ROM storage. The workstation interfaces directly with an included 21.5-inch LED display monitor for high-resolution 3-color pseudo-color image analysis. Physical interface compatibility includes:

  • Network Port: 1 x RJ45 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection supporting TCP/IP network topologies.
  • Peripheral Expansion: 4 x USB ports for peripheral equipment connection, maintenance servicing, and secure image data extraction.
  • Visual Interface: Direct output driving the 21.5-inch LED pseudo-color display monitor.

Physical, Conveyor, and Luggage Dimensional Compatibility

The mechanical structure of the ZK-X6040-A is sized for high-throughput screening of carry-on luggage, backpacks, parcels, and courier packages. Physical material handling parameters include:

ParameterSpecification / Compatibility Limit
Inspection Tunnel Dimensions600 mm (Width) x 400 mm (Height)
Conveyor Belt Elevation680 mm from floor level
Integrated Conveyor BuildInput and output roller conveyors included
Operational DirectionalityBi-directional scanning operation
Maximum Conveyor Load180 kg (evenly distributed weight)
Inspection Travel Speed0.3 m/sec constant linear speed
Photographic Media SafetyASA/ISO 1600 film safe compliance

Electrical and Environmental Infrastructure Requirements

The ZK-X6040-A is compatible with standard commercial power grids, accepting dual-voltage inputs of either 230 VAC ± 10% at 50/60 Hz (EU standard) or 110 VAC ± 10% at 50/60 Hz (US standard). The unit operates with high energy efficiency, consuming a maximum power level of 0.3 kVA. For facility deployment, the scanner functions stably across operating temperatures from -10°C to +45°C and relative humidity levels between 5% and 95% (non-condensing), generating an acoustic sound pressure level of 54 dB.
