Lane Layout and Multi-Corridor Expansion
The ZKTeco SBTL320 is engineered specifically as an expansion unit to form multi-lane pedestrian entrance control systems. When expanding throughput capacity alongside primary master swing barrier turnstiles (such as the SBTL300), engineers must plan base positioning to achieve the standard 750 mm lane width between adjacent casework units.
Each SBTL320 cabinet occupies an overall footprint of 1200 mm in length, 200 mm in width, and 980 mm in height. Integrators should ensure level floor conditions and adequate floor anchoring clearance across the entire installation corridor to accommodate the 0.8-second rapid swing motion of the acrylic barrier wings.
Environmental and Mounting Site Prerequisites
The SBTL320 is rated for operation across a working temperature range of -20°C to 70°C and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5% to 95%. The unit is suitable for deployment in indoor environments or sheltered outdoor settings where direct weather exposure is mitigated by structural canopy overhead.
The SUS304 stainless steel casework and combined SUS304 stainless steel and acrylic lid provide a smooth exterior finish with no exposed screws. Base alignment must maintain unhindered barrier wing trajectory while ensuring the medium security perimeter is physically contiguous.
Electrical Service and Fail-Safe Emergency Integration
Primary power infrastructure must supply AC 110V/220V at 50/60 Hz to the internal power terminal. The turnstile features a simplified internal mechanical structure and consolidated electrical wiring connections to reduce field termination complexity during multi-lane deployments.
The system incorporates built-in fail-safe emergency behavior. In the event of building power loss or power outage conditions, the acrylic swing barriers unlock automatically, enabling pedestrians to push through the 750 mm corridor without restriction for safe egress.
Infrared Alignment and Reader Verification
Accurate beam path alignment across the 4 pairs of infrared sensors is critical during physical placement. These optical sensor pairs monitor transit through the corridor, facilitating passage detection and directional anti-tailgating tracking to support continuous throughput speeds of up to 30 people per minute at an operating noise level of 30 dB or lower (≤30dB).
To minimize on-site deployment time and labor, the SBTL320 ships factory-integrated and pre-tested according to project specifications for RFID card readers or biometric fingerprint access control devices. Installers verify system initialization, optical sensor states, and operating modes using the onboard LCD display screen and integrated LED status indicators.
